My mind drifted to the intimate moment I had with Giovanni and the kiss we shared. If it weren't for my brown skin, I was sure that my face would turn red from my blushing. I threw the covers from my body and got up to handle my morning routine.

Just as I was about to walk out of the room, my cellphone rang and I hurriedly tried to find it. It was Langston calling, probably to check in on me.

"Goodmorning my beautiful sister." he greeted

"Goodmorning? What do you want?" I asked suspiciously

Langston was never this cheerful or nice to me unless he needed something.

"I can't be happy to hear from my little sister?"

"You're usually not. So what do you need?"

"So rent is due and so is my cell phone bill, but I don't get paid for another week, so I can only pay one-"

"How much do you need?"

"I can pay rent, so just $150 for my phone."

"Okay, I'll just put it in your account later today."

"I can just pick it up if its too much."

"I don't carry cash and I'm not at home."

"Where are you?"

"New York."

"Why?"

"Wow, you're nosy."

"You must be with someone if you don't want to tell me."

"Bye Langston." I hung up before he could ask too many questions

I made my way through the foyer to the kitchen. There were pleasant scents escaping, drawing me in to see who was cooking.

I was surprised to find Giovanni, still shirtless, cooking the food that smelled so delicious. He turned his head to my direction and smiled.

"Buorgiorno." he greeted

"Good morning." I smiled back at him

"Are you hungry?"

"Of course. What are you making?"

"Steak and eggs."

"Really?" I asked excited

"Yea."

He started to plate the steak and eggs and walked over to the dining room table and placed them next to each other. I opened the fridge to see that it was fully stocked with food and drinks.

"I had someone go shopping this morning." he explained

I nodded before reaching for the orange juice. He had already grabbed two glasses and placed them on the counter. I was going to pour the orange juice, but he took the carton away from me so he could pour it. I rolled my eyes and smiled before looking through different drawers to find the utensils.

I grabbed two forks and two steak knives and made my over to the dining table. I set the utensils down with the corresponding plates and chose a seat. Giovanni came next with both glasses in his hand and sat one of them in front of me and the other in front of his plate. He sat down and looked at his plate and then at mine before switching the plates.

"Hey!"

"This steak is bigger."

"So? What if I wanted that one?"

It was much bigger and I knew I probably wouldn't finish it, but it was the principal.

"Do you want the bigger steak?" he asked after a sigh
