"The building itself comes with a catering kitchen, a screening room, a conference area, gym, pool, sauna, spa, and also a yoga studio." the real estate broker listed
"You wouldn't have to complain about the distance to a gym." Giovanni smiled
"Shut up." I shot back
"Would you two like to see the apartment now?"
"Yes." we said in unison
As we rode the elevator, the agent described the place to us.
"Now, I know you asked for a two bedroom, but we only had a three bedroom that matched your requests."
"That's even better." Giovanni stated
I rolled my eyes and continued the walk to the apartment. Once the broker opened the door, we were greeted with wide, floor to ceiling windows that reflected New York city's skyscrapers.
The agent began talking, but I couldn't hear a word. The way the blue sky and the buildings lined up enticed me and I couldn't help but walk over and stare out the window. It was nothing like being at the top floor; you could only see the over the buildings. Now, I was looking through them.
The kitchen was not huge, but it was just the right size. The white countertops and beige cabinets looked stunning. Next was the master bedroom, that was much smaller than any of Giovanni's hotel rooms had been, but was just as spacious as both of my old apartments. The bathroom had two sinks which was perfect for the both of us who needed to get ready early and at the same time. The living area would be a fine place to have guests over, even if they would only be family. And the best part was that it came with a home office.
"Please tell me you like this." I turned to Giovanni
"It's not too big for you?"
"We said we'd compromise." I shrugged
"If you like it, I love it." he smiled
"Yes, yes, yes. I can't wait to buy furniture for this place." I said excitedly
"Well, I guess we'll take it." he turned to the agent
"Okay, great. I'll just get some paperwork for you both to sign. We would have to do a credit and background check, but after that it would be yours."
The agent allowed us to stay in the apartment until he came back with the appropriate papers. Giovanni stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"You know the lease is for 24 months, right?"
"Yea, so?"
"That means you're stuck with me for at least that long."
"You haven't let me leave since the day we met, I doubt another two years would be any different."
"That's true. You are right where you need to be."

I was having a hard time controlling my allergies with the bouquet of flowers in my hand. I was afraid to open the bedroom door, not knowing what to expect from not seeing Gabi in weeks. When I knocked, she yelled out for me to come in and I was more than surprised to see that she was up and moving around.
"Drew!" she came over and threw her hands around my neck
"Hi."
Once she let me go, I offered her the flowers, which she happily took and placed them on her dresser. She was staying with her parents because they agreed it would be much safer.
