Giovanni's POV

I immediately called Giorgio to have him meet me at the landing strip. It was the only time I was thankful that we were in the same city at the same time. He didn't ask any questions about my urgency and when I arrived at my plane, he was already aboard. I instructed the pilot to leave for New Jersey right away.

"What happened?" Giorgio asked me

"Gabriella is in trouble and Drew is on her way to her."

"Merda." (Shit) He whispered "How long do we have?"

"Not long."

It would take us about thirty minutes to get there, but I knew that Drew should be at Gabi's place in any minute. Although I told her to wait, she wouldn't. She cared for Gabi just as much as I did and I knew that she would be worried about Angelo.

"Did she call the police?" he asked concerned

"I didn't tell her not to."

"Who is it?"

"Gabi's ex-boyfriend or whatever." I waved my hand nonchalantly

Each minute felt like hours and I couldn't help but have a bad feeling about what would happen. No matter which way this would go, something bad was going to occur.

I tried to keep a clear head and calm myself, but knowing that Drew was in danger didn't have me thinking straight.
I had never met Angelo's father, so I didn't know what to expect. I only knew that he and Angelo shared blue eyes.

I grabbed a pistol from a secret compartment on the plane. When we landed in Jersey, there was already a car waiting for us. I volunteered myself to drive and Giorgio did not argue, knowing that I would want to be in control for a situation like this.

The drive to my sister's was only ten minutes and when we arrived, I pulled up to the front in the fire lane. Before I could put the car in park, Giorgio was out of the car. I didn't turn the ignition off, just in case we needed to make a quick escape.

We drew our guns conspicuously as we walked up the stairs and reached Gabriella's floor. My adrenaline kicked in and for the first time it wasn't for excitement.

As we reached the end of the hall, I could see the door to Gabriella's apartment shot at the hinges. I could hear Angelo's cries from outside the door. I cautiously entered the doorway pointing my gun at whoever may be around. Before I could completely make it inside of the apartment, I could see Drew's body lying ridiculously still next to Angelo. I rushed over to him and picked him up. I could see a small pool of fresh blood by her head.

We just missed him.

I leaned down and checked her pulse and could feel it beating vibrantly. A body came to view out of the corner of my eye and I saw my sister lying there.

"Giorgio." I called out to him

He was casing the rest of the apartment when he came out of Angelo's room. I signaled to Gabi's body as she laid there lifeless. I cradled Drew's head in my arms, checking her head for injuries. A small gash was present on the left side of her head.

"How is she?" I asked him

"She's barely breathing." he whispered
