Chapter 2: The Text

As I looked at the puppy sitting on my floor, I feel a single happy tear roll down my cheek. "Mom! How!?" I said while looking back and forth from my mom to the dog. She just looked at me with a smile and told me "You know how your father always wanted one, I feel like we should give this dog a try." I looked down. Then I felt something licking my face. I looked up to see my puppy. "What should we name her?" I said then thought about names. After brainstorming with my mom for a while we came up with the name Rose. Rose is a husky with red fur.

I said goodnight to my mom and got on my bed with Rose. We cuddled up and fell asleep together. It almost felt as if my dad was there, nah.

After being woke up by Rose I got up and went down stairs to let Rose out and then I see my mom, making breakfast.

Yumm, Pancakes.

"Did you make some for Rose?" I ask in a funny tone.

"No, but you can give her some left overs." My mom says laughing.

After letting Rose in we eat breakfast, I check my phone just to look at my notifications when I see one of my team mates texted me.

Text Conversation with Kate (hockey Team mate):

Kate: Hey did you hear?

Kai: Hear about what?

Kate: We're going to Ireland for a hockey tournament!

Kai: Really! That's awesome :3

Kate: !!!

I turned to my mom and told her the exciting news. She got worried about how wer were gonna get there and if it was safe. I told her it would be fine. So she finally agreed to let me go. "Thank you mom!" I said as I ran to my room so I could post this all over my twitter, Facebook, Instagram, all of those sites. After posting i got a DM message from the one and only...... Jacksepticeye. I screamed in excitement. He said that he was hoping to be in the same city so we could meet up. Meet up, he wanted to meet up with me! I told him that I would love to meet up.

After like a second he responded. Did he really care about me!?

My mom barged into my room and exclaimed. "Why were you screaming!?"

I showed her the text messages. She looked at me and said "No, you're not meeting up with him. You barely know him! I bet you haven't even talked to him!"

"Mom! I'm 21! I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to make my own decisions" I say trying to make sure she realizes I'm not her baby girl anymore.

Flashback

I walked up to him with my big septic eye Sam plush. I sat down and handed him my plush "C.. Can you sign this?" I asked with a red face. He took the plush and signed it. He handed back the plush. "Thank you" I said and stood up so I could leave, but he grabbed my arm and said "What's your Twitter?" I turned around and quickly wrote it down on a piece of paper and handed it to him. I quickly turned away and started walking away.

End of Flashback
