Chapter 3: The Flight

Fast Forward to Ireland trip

As I say goodbye to my mom, my teammates and I make our way to the plane. I can't believe my mom is okay with me going, alone. Well I am with my teammates. I find my seat and look at my phone, I have a message from Jack. It says that he's picking me up from the airport. wait what! I read it over and over again. This can't be real.I text him back "Are you serious! You don't have to, My friends parents can drive me." Someone nudges me, I look up, It's one of my friends. "Oh, hi Aubrey. whats up?" I ask.

"Who ya texting? Is it someone special?" She looks at me like i'm supposed to say yes.

"Um... no it's just one of my friends" I dragged on the friend. What if he actually thinks of me as a friend.

"Oh then whats his name? or her." Aubrey asked with a big smile.

I froze, what should I tell her? Should I say the truth, or should I say something else, I know. "Her name is Se.. Sammie. and she's one of my ... good friends."

She looked at me then looked forward and braced herself for lift off. I looked out the window since I had window seats and I thought in my head I'm so excited to see Sean. I look at my phone, I have a text from Sean! He said that he wouldn't mind picking me up and he'd have a sign with my name on it. I look out the window only this time more excited than ever.

Time skip to landing

As I get off the plane, it feels different here, probably because its colder, way colder than I'm used to. I walk up to the luggage carrier thing and see my stuff. I pick it up and see Sean, with a sign with my name on it. I smile and walk over to him. "Hi, I'm Kai" I hold out my hand and we shake hands as if we've never met before, which is pretty true considering that we had only talked for what, 5 minutes before.

"I'm Sean, nice to meet you." Sean said with a smile, a warm smile that I loved to see on the other side of the screen. It feels different though, I don't know why.

"Well, my car Is this way. Follow me." Sean said as we started walking to the parking structure. I kept thinking about how weird this was, and if we would actually be friends.

When we got to his car he opened the trunk and the passenger door for me. "Thank you" I said as I took a seat in the car. He has a pretty nice car.

After closing my door Sean got in the car and buckled his seat belt and started the car. He started driving in complete silence. "Umm... Do u want to listen to music?" He said focused on the road.

"Umm... I like bands like Set it Off." I said while twidling my thumbs. He reached for the dial to put on an 'alternative station'.

"That's nice" he said and continued driving.

After a few minutes of quiet I heard him scream "WHAT THE FUCKIN' HELL!" I looked up confused. He was yelling at other drivers, oh he has road rage I thought and laughed. But, he heard me laugh and looked at me.

"What's so funny?"
