Chapter 11: Emotional

Sean's POV

As we're watching the movie I feel something on my shoulder, I look and see Kai asleep. Maybe its time to go to sleep, I mean it is 1 a.m. but how can I move with her head on my shoulder? I know, with a swift movement I pick her up and carry her to bed.I tuck her in and go to turn off the t.v.. When I come back she's moved a little. I grin and get in bed and cuddle with her. We both fall asleep happy on the outside. But, for me i'm still worried about what happened yesterday, I didn't tell her about the nightmares, I never want her to know about them.

I woke up, with something missing. I think for a minute. What's missing? Kai! I get up and rush out of my room and see that everybody is gone. Then I hear a piercing scream. I turn around to see i'm in a different place than before.. The hockey rink. I search around for who was screaming. Then I see him. Her coach, holding her with a knife against her throat.

"Do it... I dare you."i say. I didn't want to sat that, why did I say that! I tried to say something else but I can't speak for myself. I hear footsteps behind me when I turn around I see Mark and Felix... with knives.

"What are you guys doing!" I say as I try to push them away. But they're too strong for me, they push me straight to the ground. Mark pins my head so that I can see Kai about to be stripped of everything... including her life.

Then everything disappears while tears role down my face and pool up into a puddle.

The next day

I wake up sweating. Or is that tears? It was a just a dream..... Something was missing. What's missing? Its Kai! I rush into the living room and see that she's there.

"Morning sleepy head" Mark says with a smile that turns into a worried face. "Are you ok!? What happened?"

"It was.... It's nothing"I say, rubbing the back of my head.

"Calm down dude." Felix said placing a hand on my shoulder

I push his had off and back away. "I am! just leave me alone for a little." I say trying to sound calm but failing.

Kai gets up with a really worried face. She places her hands on my shoulders and looks deep into my eyes. "You can talk to us about anything, we're your friends. Just please tell us so we don't worry over you." Kai says while she looks like she's gonna cry. I hug her to try to comfort her.

"Fine, I'll tell you guys. Only because I don't want you guys to worry about me." I say sitting on the couch and preparing myself for an emotional ride.

I explained everything I remember from the dream to them. Everyone said that it would never happen. My worrying goes down and I start to loosen up. I apologize to Felix and of course he isn't mad.

Kai's POV

I can't believe he cares that much about me. To have a dream about me, even though it was a bad one, its still a dream about me! But I can't help but worry about him, does this mean he'll be overprotective? He wouldn't be, he never is. 

"Hey Kai. umm... do you want to do a charity live stream with us? Mark's doing it like he always does for each month." Sean asked me, seeming a bit embarrassed.

"Sure just let me call my mom and Kate. Just to inform them whats been going on." I say pulling out my phone.

"What about your dad? Shouldn't you tell him?" Sean says.

"Lets just say, I can't." I say looking down and thinking about that day.

Flashback

Newscaster: Now we're getting reports of a huge car accident on I55. Here's Debbie on the scene.

Debbie: One Car crash turned into a massive chain of car crashes. 4 dead and 7 injured. many people were heading home from work when disaster stroke, a blue truck collided with a Red car. The truck exploded causing traffic to slow down. The people in both cars were killed, their faces are unrecognizable but will be DNA tested to find their identity. Back to you head quarters

There was silence, was mom crying? "Mom don't cry! why are you crying!?" 

She didn't respond, I was confused. I hugged her and tried to comfort her.

Newscaster: Breaking news, we are getting word that they found the identities of the 4 victims. Joesph Brann

Mom just starts bawling, I look at the screen and see a photo of my dad. wait. does that mean that he's gone...
