The next day, I found myself walking to the doors of Mel's Diner. At first I was hesitating to go in but he felt sorry for getting the coffee on me and I didn't want to miss it and be rude. When I walked in, there was a couple of people at the bar drinking milkshakes and eating hamburgers. To the right of the diner there he was, glaring out the window with his crystal blue eyes. I couldn't help myself but stare and admire him.
"May I help you?" A waitress said.
I had gotten out of my daze of staring when she came up to me.
"No thank you. I have a table" I said.
I headed towards the table with butterflies in my stomach and my heart pounding like crazy. As I got closer I was thinking of what to say when he came up to me instead.
"Hey it's me Jonathan remember?"
"Yeah I remember" I chuckled.
We started talking about random things. He still said he owed me a shirt. Probably not knowing the difference between a shirt and blouse.
"I've been to New York many times, how about you?" he asked.
"This is my first time."
"Great let me show you around. You don't have plans do you?"
"I don't know...maybe." I said in a sassy way.
