"I think I have a crush on Zack now."

"Oh my God, wait, you never told me what Zack said on the phone!"

"You called Zack!!"

"Will everyone just chill out! Yes, Summer, I did call Zack and I asked him to talk but he hung up on me. He's refusing to speak to me. Also, Summer, would you want to tutor Freddy?"

"YES!" She squealed.

"Good, he wanted me to ask you. I'll let him know."

"Anyways, thanks for telling me Tomiks. But my mom's here to take me to dance. Keep me posted?" Summer said.

"For sure!"

"Great." Summer hugged me and walked towards her mom's car. It was just me and Jessenia.

"So,"

"So Zack hung up?"

"Yeah..."

"That's sucks. I wish he would just listen to you."

"I wish he felt the same way. Things seem to be working out for everyone, Summer and Freddy may actually get together, Lawrence has Esme. I just wish..."

"I know sweetie, it's hard. But we'll get through this, together. That's what friends are for."

"Thanks Jessenia. Wanna come to my house tonight? My mom's making lasagna."

"Heck yeah I wanna come over!"

"Alright, I'll text my mom."

I texted my mom and Freddy as Jessenia and I walked back to my house.

Freddy texted back: sweet

and my mom said: she's welcome over anytime :)

"It's ok for me to come over?"

"Yes,"

"Lit."

I laughed whenever she used that word.

"So, how's school been?" I asked.

"Not fun. My school is so boring, I wish I went to Travis Prep."

"I wish you did too."

I punched in the garage code and we went inside.

"Mom! I'm home." I called out.

Jessenia and I walked into the kitchen.

"What's cooking?"

"I told you, lasagna. Hi Jessenia."

"Hi Mrs. Young."

"How was the park?"

"Fun, normal." I said, and Jessenia nodded in agreement.

"That's good that's good. By the way, Tomika, your friend Freddy called. He said he wanted to speak to you."

"Freddy called?"

"Yeah, and he said it's important."

I looked at Jessenia and she looked at me.

"Excuse us... for a moment mom."

"Sure, I'll call you when dinners ready."

I ran upstairs, Jessenia following me. I pulled out my phone and called Freddy.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Well hello to you too."

"What did you need."

"Did you talk to Summer?"

I sighed. "Yes, I talked to Summer."

"What did she say?" He asked eagerly.

"Yes, she would love to tutor you."

"Sweet. Thanks Tomika, you the og."

"Thanks.... anyways, it's my turn, did you talk to Zack?"

"Not yet, you said you wanted it in person and he couldn't hang out tonight."

"Alright..." I sighed in annoyance,"let me know when you guys talk."

"I will, I will."

"Thanks."

"No thank you."

"Whatever loser, bye."

"Bye."

I hung up the phone and flopped onto my bed. By the time Freddy and Zack talked, It would be too late, and I would have to face Zack myself.
