Jak and Phoenix eventually reached the hatch "once we get top side don't try anything anything" Jak said "or what your gonna shoot me?" Phoenix "just don't do anything" Jak said "whatever...little kid" Phoenix muttered. They opened the hatch and climbed up the ladder "hey i'm back" Jak shouted "get down and put your hands behind your back" a strong voice screamed from behind them. Jak turned around to see a military soldier pointing a rifle at them Phoenix didn't bother and just followed the orders "i said get down" the soldier said shooting the ground by Jaks feet. Jak followed the orders and was fearing for his life "check them for weapons" the soldier said looking over his shoulder, another military man walked over the ruble this one holding a shotgun. He began looking through Jaks bags and just patted around Phoenixs clothes "the kid was packin heat the guy in the mask had nothing on em the rest was just chips and water" the shotgunner said to the rifleman "how the hell did a kid get a gun" the rifleman said "probably took it from his dad he he" the shotgunner said "alright the two of you get over here with the others" the rifleman said.
Jak and Phoenix got up and walked behind the rifleman the shotgunner behind them, they eventually reached Tracy and Kevin being aimed at by 3 other soldiers and a few others walking around nearby. "Jak your alive" Kevin said "shut the hell up" a soldier said hitting him with the butt of his gun "you bastard" Jak said "woah calm down who are the ones with the guns here" the rifleman said. Jak backed down pathetically "that's right know your damn place" the rifleman said "i wish i could do something" Jak muttered "i could do something" Phoenix said "the hell do you mean "i could do something"" the rifleman said "i mean i could take you all on" Phoenix said "oh we got a cocky one here Jones teach em a lesson" the rifleman said, the shotgunner then walked up and began beating Phoenix with his gun. "you should've been quieter" Jak said "yea listen to the kid next time i kinda wanna see you try to take us on" the rifleman said signaling the shotgunner to stop.
"stand with the others and on your knees" the rifleman said. Jak and Phoenix got on their knees next to Tracy and Kevin "hello you must be this guys friends" Phoenix said to Tracy and Kevin "what the hell were you talking about doing something" Jak said to Phoenix "like i said earlier i can take these guys on but you said not to try anything" Phoenix said "fine then do something get yourself shot trying to be a hero" Jak said "you sure? i wanna make sure you won't regret letting me" Phoenix said like an ass "go on do something your just gonna fail" Jak said "ok don't blame me when your jaw drops" Phoenix said as he stood up "the hell are you doing get the fuck down" the rifleman said. The riflemans chest suddenly bursted to pieces, his body dropping to the ground cold and lifeless "the hell was that" the shotgunner said "i'm sorry i wont have a chance to bury you all" Phoenix said as a mass of black matter expanded from his back and took the form of a spike. The spike began traveling at lightning speed piercing through the body's of several soldiers and consuming their body "the hell is he we were told all the assault subjects escaped "they did, cause they never classified me as assault" Phoenix said as the spike began charging at other soldiers ripping them to shreds and consuming their bodies. "see i told you i could do something" Phoenix said as the spike pierced the last soldier.
