"DAVID!" Lui yelled, backing up against the building. The dead were slowly coming closer and closer to him, their stench enveloping the space between them and Lui.
Tears were racing down his face as him imagination designed the most gruesome death he could possibly create at the moment. And, trust me, it wasn't pretty.
"David!" He repeated, backing farther up against the wall. "Help! David.." He said through tears.
The dead limped closer to him, their arms aimed forward at the buffet they were about to feast on. Lui let out another cry, closing his eyes. "No.." He muttered.
Suddenly, the mass of dead, limping corpses was colliding with the dirty window shield of a faded Jeep. The gut-covered vehicle slid forward and crushed the rotting skulls in its path.
David sat in the front seat with the window closest to him rolled down. "Get in!" He yelled.
Lui quickly sprinted over to the jeep and opened the passenger door, immediately shutting the door behind him.
David stepped on the gas, forcing the vehicle to jump forward down the streets of New York. He looked towards his friend, who was breathing heavily. "That was close."
Lui turned to him and laughed. "Yeah, no shit, Sherlock." He said. "Thanks, Man."
David smiled. "No problem, Buddy. I heard you yellin' from down the fuckin' street."
Lui smiled and looked out the window. "Do you still have the guns?"
"I have a few." David replied. "Before we left I only grabbed the backpacks, a couple guns, and a knife. That's it."
Lui nodded. "Yeah, we need to find somewhere to go. It's dangerous at night and tomorrow we need to start stocking up." He explained. "We need gas, food, weapons - you know, the usual zombie apocalypse survival shit."
His friend lost the smile he had a few seconds ago. "Yeah..I still can't believe this is happening."
Lui looked down at his lap and sighed. "I can't either. Just a few hours ago we were playing GTA with the guys..now it's complete chaos."
At that moment, something clicked in David's mind. "Wait! The guys - do you think they're okay?!"
"I don't know." Lui replied, quickly pulling out his phone. "Dammit, there's no service. What the hell?!"
David rolled his eyes and focused on the dark road in front of them. "Listen, they could be alright. We don't know."
Lui got a deep breath. "You're right." He forced himself to say. "They could be at Delirious's right now, safe with plenty of weapons and food.."
"You know Delirious's real name is Jonathan, right?" David asked.
Lui looked out the mirror. "Of course I do."
"Then why don't you call him Jonathan?"
He shrugged. "I'm just used to it. That's the name we always call him when we're recording."
"Well, right now he's Jonathan. I have a feeling we won't be playing games for awhile."

"Do you think they're okay?" Jonathan asked, laying on the couch with one hand on the back of his head, propping it up.
Evan glanced back. "Who?"
He stared up at the ceiling. "You know, Lui..David..do you think they're okay?"
Evan closed his eyes. "I don't know. I hope they are."
"Me too." Jon replied.
Evan opened his eyes and stared into the flickering, orange flame of the dim candle sitting patiently on the table. "You can go to sleep if you want." He said quietly. "I can look out by myself."
Jon sat up and sighed. "I know. I just can't fucking sleep."
His friend smiled and looked at him. "I don't blame you. There's corpses walking around eating anything living. I don't think I'll be able to sleep either."
Jon pulled his knees up to his chest. "Is there an end to this?" He asked, looking at his friend from above his knees.
Evan shrugged. "I don't know. Hopefully."
Suddenly a thought popped into Jon's head. He smiled at the memory. It was stupid and gay, at least he thought it was, but it was funny to hear, and he still was still confused why Evan had said it. "Do you remember Dead by Daylight?"
Evan rolled his eyes. "Of fucking course I do."
Jon laughed. "I remember this one time..I think it was on Moo's recording or something..but, right before the game ended, I think. It was when Moo was about to open the door, you said something that really confused me."
Evan closed his eyes and smirked. "And what was it that really confused you?"
Jon felt his face go red at the thought. "It was completely random. But, right before you won the game, you said something along the lines of, 'if we make it out of here, will you kiss me?'"
"Hmm..sounds confusing."
"What?!" Jon exclaimed. "'Sounds confusing?'" He mocked. "Of course it's fucking confusing! Why did you say that?"
"I told you earlier." Evan said calmly, eyes still closed.
Jon grew frustrated. "No you didn't!"
"Uh..yes I did."
"Just answer..why did you say that gay ass shit to me when we were playing?"
"That's why I said it, Dumbass."
