Once they had all of their backpacks collected and placed inside the small building, the four sat inside, checking around the place and finding anything suitable to help them survive, Unfortunately, there was nothing except a few broken chairs and a broken sink in the corner. Tyler walked over to Evan and crossed his arms. "It's going to get dark soon, I was thinking we could start a fire or some shit." He said.
Evan nodded. "Good idea. Jon has that lighter from earlier. We could burn those chairs over there."
Tyler looked over at the pile of smashed wood and turned back to his friend. "But don't we have to board the windows and doors up?"
"We can use one chair to burn, the other to board shit up with." He replied, looking over to the pile. "We should start now."
Craig put a hand on Jon's shoulder. "You alright, Man?" He asked with his weird accent. "I didn't know you smoked until now."
Jon shrugged and looked at his feet. "I just can't believe this is all fucking real," He replied.
The Brit nodded in understanding and smiled sadly at his friend. "Me neither."
Jon shuffled his feet around awkwardly and leaned against the concrete wall. "How are you and Tyler?" He asked out-of-the-blue.
Craig's smile dropped. "I don't know anymore," He answered truthfully. "It's like he doesn't feel the same as he used to. I mean.." He trailed off. "I love him."
The American suddenly felt bad for his friend. It was clearly obvious that he and Tyler were having issues, he just didn't want to intrude. To be honest, Jonathan was surprised he was actually talking about his relationship instead of just dissing the question like he usually did. "I'm sorry.." He muttered, repeating the words Evan had said to him in the car.
"You love Evan, don't you?" He asked Jon.
His eyes widened as his face turned a bright shade of red. "Wha- no!" He argued. "I don't like him like that, we're just friends-"
"I saw you kiss in the car." Craig interrupted. "I looked back when Tyler wasn't looking. Care to explain?"
Before Jon had any time to reply, Evan walked over and smiled at the two. "Hey, guys. We got the fire going. Tyler brought his guitar so, just wanted to know if you guys wanted to make any requests."
Craig smiled at his friend and looked over to find Tyler strumming quietly, trying to tune correctly. Of course, the echo in the room is screwing with the system. Sighting in defeat, he turned to his boyfriend, who was now sitting in front of him.
Meanwhile, Evan smiled at the two, then turned back to Jon, who was shuffling his feet with a red face. "You alright?" He asked, crossing his arms.
Jon smiled and looked up at his best friend. "Y-Yeah.." He murmured nervously, recalling the events from earlier.
"Okay then.." Evan said, chuckling to himself. "Wanna go watch Tyler fail miserably?" He asked his friend.
Jon laughed and smiled up into those gorgeous, chocolate eyes. For a second, he swore he saw Evan's eyes sparkle. "Yeah, sure," He replied, reaching for Evan's hand.
He took the small hand in his and intertwined their fingers, still not breaking eye contact with Jon's blue eyes.
"You two fuckers done making out over there?!" Tyler yelled at the two.
