Lui groaned and banged his head on the steering wheel. "Why does this have to fucking happen now?!" He yelled, trying to be audible though the onslaught of walking corpses now surrounding their Jeep.

David reached behind them and pulled out an AR-15. "Listen, calm your ass down and start cheating then out! We'll get gas later!"

Lui rolled his eyes and pulled his handgun from his belt loop. "Fine." He agreed, while David was configuring a plan in his head.

"Alright.." He started, glancing out the window. "Open the doors and shoot as many of 'em as you can! I'll distract a few, got it?"

Lui nodded and followed David's lead by kicking the door open. Before the ragged skin of the corpses could reach him, he slung himself over the roof of the car and crouched on top.

David watched to make sure Lui didn't get bitten, then turned to his own battle and pushed open the door, forcing the corpses to fall to the ground in a heap. Stealthily, he leaped out of the car and onto the road, almost on the shoulder. He turned around just in time to find a corpse attempting to get their nasty fingernails across his arm. With one quick movement, he kicked it back and grabbed his knife, spinning it in his fingers before gliding it down and into the corpse's skull.

Meanwhile, Lui was firing at the closest of the hoard, missing every once in awhile. He smiled as he got two or three headshots. The dark sky made it all seem too fantasy-ish, and that's how he loved it. With his best friend by his side in the zombie apocalypse, how could Heaven be better?

His last shot managed to bring a corpse to its knees, before the trigger failed and forced Lui to realize he was out of ammo.

"Dammit.." He muttered, glancing over at his best friend, who was saving bullets by using his knife, which was now messy and blotched with the sticky, red substance, along with part of his jeans.

He couldn't yell for help, depending on whether or not more corpses would magically appear from the sidelines, a chance he was not willing to take. So, he grunted and turned back to his enforced problem. "Shit.." He muttered under his breath, chaos spreading. One of the corpses was now dragging its cold fingernails across the metal surface of the roof, creating a screeching noise.

Lui winced and twirled his gun around in his hand, then aimed and used the handle as a makeshift knife. Surprisingly, it cut through the skin and forced the corpse to fall to the ground before being trampled by the others.

He cursed again and took a step back, the others grabbing onto the door, which was now just a piece of scrap metal laying on the concrete.

Once David managed to kick off the last of the corpses that was desperately clawing at his flesh, he realized his friend was in danger. He quickly looked over the situation and cursed under his breath. He couldn't stab them, considering there was about ten there, and he couldn't shoot them because it would attract others. But, when someone means the world to you, you do whatever you can to protect them.

Putting his knife in its original place in his belt loop, he whispered a silent prayer before pulling out his gun. Unlike Lui, he had ammo for days. Alright, maybe not days.. but it was more than what Lui had.

He closed his eyes for a second, keeping his aim straight, then started firing at the hoard. Two, three, four, five, six went down. Four still stood, each missing an arm or bleeding from the side depending on where David shot them.

He cursed again as two were limping towards him weakly. "Dammit." He muttered, before slamming the thick handle onto their rotten skulls. Within seconds he managed to bring two down.
