Kiera Kins Grant's POV

I could never forget that emerald green eyes and blond hair. I stared intently at his face as if I was memorizing every line, each line of his face was a remembrance of the past, A living proof of her forgotten past. I tried to fool myself by denying the fact that he was hell bent on killing me.

A memory started to play in my head like a film...

One summer day in April

The waves shook the white sand. The calm sea was bluer than ever. As the waves shook the shore little sea shells remained in the sand. It was a paradise worth remembering.

I was a teen playing with the shells and the waves of the sea, My innocence was still intact. I played all day long without a care in the world. On the other side of the island was a little boy who was building a small sand replica of his car.

"Walter, Don't go away too far" A man with in a tuxedo holding a cup of wine in his right hand restricted the little boy to go too far. I noticed a black object in his pocket. Maybe, it's what the adults call a gun.

I don't know what it's for but I heard it's a dangerous weapon.

Then, with the teen boy's stubbornness, the warm sun and the waves in the sea seemed to invite him to a warm plunge in the sea and because of the height of the little boy, He couldn't manage to swim back.

He went too far and soon enough he began to drown. The adults in the place was so much busy in riding the waves and swimming that they hardly notice a boy drowning. That part of the island was secluded.

He had trouble gasping for air because of the strong waves heading towards him.

People rarely go there to swim, It was a private place reserved for the rich.

Being the only people witnessing everything, I didn't hesitate to take a plunge and I as I let my body defy the pressure of the sea. I saw a head and I didn't hesitate to pull the boy's hand and get him off the shore.

Before I could do anything, His father came running outside to resuscitate the unconscious boy. Then, I tried to exit as fast as I could

A few days later

" Ania La Vie Hathaway, Someone is looking for you" Miranda said. She's one of the friends that I have gathered in my whole stay in the island. I am going back home in the city after three days.

"Sure. Wait for a sec—" Before I could say anything, the boy went inside the little cottage I was staying. I could still remember his blond hair all wet and his unconscious body that I left in the shore.

"I would like to express my gratitude for saving my life" He had flowers in his hand and he looked so cute in the tiny polo shirt that he is wearing. I answered him with a smile.

"Anyone in my position wouldn't hesitate to do so. I can't accept the flowers" I carefully declined his offer and gave him a warm smile.

"Apparently, Not anyone. I never quite expected the person who saved me as a beautiful girl, Apparently, I was wrong. I'm gonna marry you, Ms. Hattaway. That's a promise" He was obviously swooned and he was probably a playboy to be expert in those lines.

"Do you say that to all the girls you meet?" I said teasingly.

Till then, He would ask me to hang out at his place and he would use to those enticing sweet words that I never noticed. I return back to the city to continue my studies.

That was the last time I saw him, until now.

My real identity was Ania La Vie Hathaway. It was the most absolute law in the agency to change your identity and use a new one. It was a protocol for people not to track the agent's real identity.

Everything has changed. His expression changed and I have read his eyes, It has betrayal written all over it. "Ania?!!" Was the only word he could utter. The pain in his eyes could not be coated anymore as he held a gun towards me.

I was ready for a loud bang and several metals to enter my body, But there was none.

Then less than a fraction of a second, A tranquilizer dart came flying towards me and hit in the back of my head. My vision came hazy and I saw Walter walking towards me, The sound of his boots clicking in the ground was the only thing I remember before I lost track of time and space.

My eyes finally opened and my vision was still remained hazy. I focused my eye on an object, which was a gun and little by little it became clear. I was sitting on a chair and I saw a rope and that's when I realized that I was all tied up.

A sick smile was running in Walter's face.

"I didn't expect I'll meet you this way. To loathe you this much for killing my father" He was strangely calm as he sat in the chair in front of mine.

"Why didn't you kill me when you had the chance? Do you find satisfaction in seeing me suffer? Have you become a sadist?" He just answered me with a sick smile. I tried to provoke him and let him come near me so that I could take him down.

"I still have plans for you, for us" He stared at me as if memorizing every line in my face. He had indeed grown handsome but because of his high intelligence it drove him to become mad.

Too much intelligence destroyed him and made him a bit psychotic.

"I didn't kill the director for no reason. He killed my father and tried to kill me, I defended myself and things got out of my control and I killed him. Forget the Ania La Vie Hathaway that you met, That girl is gone" I remained sitted in the chair and carefully formulated a plan.

"What's done is done. You can't change what you did. I've always wonder how your lips tasted" He leaned on and the next thing I knew his lips were on mine. His lips were wet and it made a circular motion in kissing my motionless lips. He kissed me with all passion but I stayed in there too stoned to say anything.

I got a small knife in my boots. While he was kissing me I used the knife to gently untie the ropes in my hands. I pushed him hard and slapped him hard on the face. The part I slapped on his face left a red mark.

----------------

Where the hell are you, Aux Fin Lee? Your damsel in distress is kissed by another man and a psychotic one at that. Do you like the name Ania La Vie Hathaway? I mixed French with American name which makes it unique and that's the thing I have been trying to capture for long.

I hope you liked this chapter....Stay tuned....
