"I can't stand you." The young 16 year old (Y/N) said as her partner for this potions assignment, who happened to be the vile Slytherin Draco Malfoy, just sat back as she did all the work. The male let out a rather loud and obnoxious laugh.
"As if I care what you think, you hang around with those blood-traitor Weasley's and that mud-blood Granger. If anything, that makes you lower than they are!" He let out another obnoxious, forced laugh. That pushed her over the line. He could insult her all he wanted, she could handle that, but bringing her friends into the argument? That was too far, so she did what her instincts told her to do, which happened to be the dumbest option. She took the cauldron and dumped it on the snobby slytherin boy, who immediately screamed with rage.     For the girl, things kind of went fuzzy from there, and the next thing she realized, she was getting detention with Professor Snape. This didn't bother the girl, the detention was definitely worth it on her opinion. So after the class, she was instantly approached by her friends.
"Bloody hell, what'd Malfoy do to get you so angry?" Was the first thing Ron said as he walked on one side of her, Harry and Hermione on the other side.
"Whatever he did, surely you didn't have to land yourself a detention with Snape.." Hermione commented, looking slightly irritated.
"He was insulting you guys.. He called you a mud-blood, Hermione, and he called Ron a blood traitor. I wasn't going to just let him say that without consequence." (Y/N) spoke, clearly satisfied with what she had done.
"Well, he did deserve that then.." Harry said, "I would have done the same thing... Well, not the same exact thing, but I would have done something."
"Well, thanks for defending us,  (Y/N)." Said Ron, who was smiling at the memory of Malfoy screeching like a girl. "That was pretty funny though, I don't think I've ever heard someone scream like that before."
"He was clearly over reacting.. Okay, yeah, it was probably hot, but it's not like he was being attacked or anything." (Y/N) said, a grin creeping onto her face, mirroring the one that was on Ron's.
"But is the detention worth it? Seriously, (Y/N), you should have just ignored him.." Hermione said, a serious tone in her voice. (Y/N) shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't really care, not like this'll be the first, or last, detention I'll have." She said, which only caused Hermione to huff and walk faster and away.
"What's her deal, she's not the one with the detention.. " Ron said, looking from Harry to (Y/N), then back again.
"Someone should go talk to her... I'll see you guys later.." Harry stated before he ran to try and catch up with Hermione.
"Bye Harry!" (Y/N) called after him, waving.
".. I reckon you fancy him, don't you?" (Y/N) snapped her head in the direction of the voice, only to find it was Ron, who looked a bit sulky.
    "No I don't." (Y/N) said in defense.
"Yeah, sure, because that's believe-able.." He said, still a not sulky looking.
"If you really must know, I fancy... Someone else." She said, a bit irritated at his prying. "Why does it matter anyways?"
"... No reason-" Ron said, his face growing red.
"I reckon it's because you fancy me. Is that right?" She said, looking up at him due to the fact that he's so tall.
"N-no I don't.." He stuttered out, looking away from her.
"Well I think you do." The girl said with a grin.
"So what if I do.." Was all he said in response.
"Because that 'someone else' I was talking about was you.."
"Really? Me?" Ron said, looking like an over excited puppy.
"Yes, that's what I said, isn't it?" (Y/N) said, holding back a laugh. At this point they were just standing in front of the doors leading into the Great Hall. Ron stepped closer to (Y/N)  and laid a quick kiss on her forehead.
"Ahh, guess you win Hermione.. " Ron and (Y/N) snapped their heads in the direction of the voice, only to find Harry and Hermione trying to hide behind the door.
"Harry! They heard us!" Hermione scolded him, exiting from behind the door.
"What're you two doing?" Tin asked, narrowing his eyes at them as Harry approached.
"Well.... We kind of had this bet going.. I thought you two fancied each other, and he thought other wise... " Hermione explained, meanwhile Harry was trying to slowly walk away. "Don't even think about it, Harry. You owe me two Galleons. Hand them over." She continued, holding her hand out. Harry sighed and dropped the two gold coins into her palm.
"If I actually had the care to be angry, you two should run..  Bit seeing as I don't, you should be fine.....  For now." (Y/N) said, raising her eyebrows slightly. Harry and Hermione looked at each other before bolting into the Great Hall, followed by a laughing (Y/N)  and Ron, who entered hand-in-hand.
