A/N: Okay so this came to me while I was listening to the song 'Game Over' In the Homestuck things. So.. Things led to things.. And this was born. I showed this to one of my friends and they cried. I am not responsible for tears, and I do not own Dave Strider or John Egbert. I only own Averiett Rufin. But of course, Hussie owns all of you Homestucks.

Blood. It was covering her jeans and her gloves, along with a smear or two on her cheeks. Her remorseful gray eyes were blood shot, once filled with happiness. She looked down at her dead friend, his bright blue eyes glazed under his thick glasses. A tear escaped her eye and trailed down her cheek, dripping onto the now dead prankster's face. "Ave.. Get up. He's dead. Move on." A smooth voice said. She turned her head, her amber bangs falling into their place after she tried vainly to tuck the tufts behind her ear. Her eyes were met by sunglasses, shielding crimson eyes.

"Dave.. T-take those glasses off. Now.. is not the t-time.." Averiett said, her voice trembling. Her tone didn't carry cheerfulness, nor softness that she once had. She sighed, turning back to John. "No light in those bright blue eyes..." She trailed off, straightening his rectangular glasses. She placed a gloved hand on the side of his cold face, her lip trembling.

"Don't do it. I know what you're going to do and.. d-don't do it." Dave said, his voice cracking. She shook her head, taking off her glove. She placed her hand on John's soft, dead face, golden tendrils of light crawling on the side of his face. She ignored Dave's pleas, and his efforts on trying to take her away from John.

Her face grew dim, and her breathing was getting limited. Her chest was aching, but knowing that it'll be worth it, she ignored the growing pain. "Farewell, Dave. Game over." Averiett spoke, using her last breaths. She collapsed on top of John's now breathing body, her eyes still open. Screams went unnoticed as Dave ripped Averiett away from John, holding her body close to him.

Dave's glasses were gone from his face, revealing his crimson eyes that were spilling tears. He began rocking back and forth, whispering ragged words. For once, the cool kid cried.
