It took five minutes and he still hadn't made an acceptable excuse. The extent to which you were pissed was unheard of, and you could see he was fearful of what was to happen next.

"Papyrus what have we talked about?! Do you wanna see your brother die?! He has one goddamn HP and you still have the balls to hurt him?! Are you fucking braindead?!" You yelled.

"Please calm down human! That is how life is down here! It happens all the time! He won't die!"

Your fist were clenched so tight they drew blood. You kept your gaze locked on the carpet. "And what if he does Papyrus..." You said in a low tone. "Do you really wanna risk that?"

He opened his mouth to respond but came up short. You chuckled in a hallow manner and unclenched your hands.

"It's just... I really thought.... I thought I got through to you." You admitted.

Papyrus stood silent, looking down at you as you pushed passed him and trudged down the stairs. He followed a few steps after you and watched from afar as you collected your things. "I'll be back later." You said roughly.

As you went to grab the doorknob, Papyrus finally spoke. "How did you know, that he only has one HP I mean?"

You froze a second. In actuality, you didn't know how you knew. "I just did. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

He nodded solemnly and you left. Your mind wandered as your legs did, not really knowing where you were going or why. Everything seemed familiar in some way and it was confusing you. These memories kept appearing out of nowhere and you couldn't understand. Were parts of your memory missing? Was someone hiding your past? Why?

"That has to be why I knew his HP." You muttered.

You heard a wince as you walked straight into a monster. Stumbling back a few steps, you looked down to see an armless yellow lizard kind of monster. He had two large, toned legs and a sweater of black and red stripes hiding most of his body.

"Oh, hey Kid." You said absent-minded.

"What're you doing here lady? Are you stupid or something?" He hissed. "Captain Undyne will totally kill you if she sees you here."

"Fish Lady? Wait, she comes through here?!" You gasped.

The monster child nodded and smirked. In a sing-song tone he hummed, "You're gonna get your ass kick! You're gonna get your ass kicked!"

You turned in a full circle, looking for the same monster that had almost put you out of commission. All you saw however was the bridge you stood on with the kid. "Well I guess I'm fine for n-" Your words were cut short as a spear of charged blue-green energy whizzed past your face.

"There you are human! Let me take your soul, Shifter, and I might make your death quick and painless!" The armored cod called.

The kid, excited by seeing his hero burst into a large grin. He ran towards Undyne, laughing like the hat. "You're totally screwed!"

You grimaced and locked your gaze with Undyne's. A flash of another image flashed over your eyes and you saw her, but in casual clothing. She still seemed to be her, but without the armor.

"So Shifter?! What'll it be?"

"Yeah Shifter! Just gi-" He was cut short as he trip over his own legs on the slick wooden bridge. We were suspended a good distance over ground so you panicked as he toppled over the side. "KID?!"

He barely clung to the boards, his teeth being the only thing keeping him up. Undyne glanced at him but refocused quickly. "So (Y/N) ma-"

"Shut the fuck up!" You yelled. You ran across the slick boards as the stuggled at the kids weight. The board snapped and he began to fall. "No!!!"
