You laid on the bed and sighed, eyes fixated on the ceiling above you. Your body was sprawled over the couch and you left hopelessly bored. In secret, you prayed for another flashback. At least it would entertain you for a bit.

You had been stuck for over a week now. From what you'd collected from your memories, you knew you'd have to make your way to the castle to face King Asgore, but every memory past that was either fuzzy or completely gone. For a while you tried to continue on the journey there but the others always found an excuse to push it off. It was almost like they were scared.

You sighed as you turned your head and looked at the dull setting around you. The television was lifeless, nothing but black beneath the glassy screen. Rey had gone with Undyne to practice with her broadsword ability. Dash had gone into the wood to stretch both her wings and her girl scout spirit. Frisk was with Toriel, baking most likely as they usually did, and both Sans and Paps were busy with work.

You were alone in the skelebro home, draped over a lumpy old coach, staring at a blank screen, and waiting for something to happen.

"It's so boring." You said, ignoring that there was no one to listen.

Drawing up your body with limp movement, you summoned your soul and let it float before you. For a while, you had wanted to test out it's capabilities, but you were overly cautious. Weapon or no, it was your soul that was making these objects, and you had no clue what would happen if something happened to whatever you summoned. It quite possibly could shatter your soul entirely if you weren't careful...

Oh well. Curiosity killed the cat but unyielding determination wouldn't let it die. That's the old saying.

You stood and walked to the door, slipping on your old, weathered shoes and a thin, torn up jacket you'd neglected to replace time after time. Pulling your soul back into you, you snapped a black hair tie from your wrist and fashioned your hair back into a tight ponytail. Looking back, you left a note on the television, telling how you'd be back in a bit and not to worry.

Most likely, Dash would panic anyway being the mom friend she was but Rey should even it out pretty well.

You trudged out the door, closing it tightly behind you, seeing as you had no key, and headed in the direction of Toriel's house. The town had relatively warmed up to you at this point, but the few who still loathed you stared daggers into your back. From Sans you'd learned to ignore it.

Through the icy climate you dragged yourself until you came to a familiar bridge. Much too wide to actually stop anyone, but well intentioned in purpose. For a moment you looked at the sentry station and smiled. Because of your presence among your friends who had fallen, there was no longer a need to watch for newcomers. If not Toriel, the monsters of Snowdin had grown used to the presence of humans and would help them at least to the skelebros. They'd be safe.

Frisk was right about the kindness thing. It was like a happy infection. Slowly, as we humans had arrived, the cold exteriors of monsters were melting.

You smiled, then turned back to the bridge and crossed over it. You could see Frisk's footprints still in the snow, however small they appeared. But insecting with them was another set of footprints. They were slightly larger than his, leading in from the forest. Your brow furrowed as you followed them into Toriel's house. Surely Toriel would have kicked them out if she didn't want them here, but it was still a curious thought.

You crept up the stairs quietly, not wanting to interupt Frisk and Toriel, the house was silent, and you made it to the door before you heard a voice from the kitchen. "It's been weeks! We can't avoid it at this point. We'll have to good forward at some point!" You heard Rey argue, seeming agitated.
