Chapter 6: 2 Years Later Again (Nicolette POV)

It’s been two years since we met. He moved in a couple months later, instead of going back to Hollywood. Now that I graduated, we’re going to Hollywood together. I put what I could of my makeup in my suitcase, and threw my straightner in my carrying case. Drew walked in my room.

Drew: You almost ready, Nany?

Nicolette: Yea, my suitcase is done

I walked over and zipped it closed. Drew followed and put his arms around my hips. He kissed me again.

Drew: You ok?

Nicolette: No, and yes

Drew: What’s wrong?

He turned me around lifted my chin up.

Drew: We don’t have to go if you don’t want to. I’ll stay here, as long as I’m with you

I looked into his eyes and couldn’t say I wanted to stay. I want to go to Hollywood, it’s a great opportunity.

Nicolette: I do, I want to go. I just know I’m gonna miss home

Drew: We’ll come back and visit every chance we get. I promise

He hugged me.

Nicolette: No, my friends and family can visit us. I’m not coming back to Staten Island. It’s filled with mostly bad memories.

Drew: Well there are good memories, when we got together

He kissed my hand

Drew: After we got together

This time he kissed my lips

Nicolette: (Smiling) as long as our son comes with us

I turned towards the doorway and clapped my hands

Nicolette: Come here Taco

Just then a little brown cocker spaniel came running in. Hw jumped on the bed and looked at us.

Drew: We would never leave him

He pet Taco on the head

Drew: I’m gonna bring this to the cab.

He picked up the suitcase off the bed, and walked out of my room

I zippered my carry on bag and put it on my shoulder. Taco looked up at me if to say, “Let’s go. Adventure” I smiled and picked him up.

Looking around at my room, I stood by the door. I hit the light switch, closed my eyes and took a deep breath

Nicolette: I’m ready.

As I walked away, I knew I would never be back
