Don't Do This, I Need You

Just like a few weeks ago, Caitlin was standing on that same bridge, overlooking the same drop and this time it was even harder. She thought she had something to live for but now she knew that she was destined to be alone and depressed forever so why not make it stop. And this was the only way she knew how.

Just like before, she was about to jump when she was stopped by that same voice. 

"Cait, please don't do this! I love you, I need you!"

"Don't lie to me, Barry!" she shouted.

"I'm not lying to you! Linda's my ex, she's crazy! She's not my girlfriend, you are and I love you, only you, no one else, I promise! Please don't do this, I can't live without you," he pleaded. Just like the first time, he got up next to her and took her hand. The rain was pounding onto them and the storm was growing by the second. Thunder reverberated through the sky, making Caitlin squeal in fear. "Please come down!"

"I can't," she cried, terrified of the whole situation.

"Cait please!" he paused. "Marry me,"

"What?!" she shouted.

"Marry me," he repeated.

"But..."

"No buts, marry me,"

"Okay,"

"Is that a yes?"

"Yes, I'll marry you,"

As far as proposals go, it was pretty strange but still romantic and their movie kiss in the rain proved that. Neither party was sure how long it lasted, but it was a while. Just holding, each other and kissing on the bridge.

Without words or warning, Barry picked her up bridal style and carried her all the way back to their home. 

After drying off the two of them cuddled in bed before going to sleep.

"Promise me something," Barry said.

"Anything," Caitlin replied.

"Never try to do that again, you know how I feel about you and I can't lose..." he was interrupted.

"I promise,"

"I'll go get a ring for you tomorrow. Never think that I don't love you, okay. Because you're the most important thing to me right now and you will be forever. I love you,"

"I love you too," she whispered before drifting off to sleep in his arms...
