Will we ever stop this continuous cycle?
I looked at the sign in front of me:
Welcome to Baltimore, Maryland!
Standing there for a few moments I took the sight in. I was drop dead tired too since I traveled all the way from Louisiana all the way to Maryland. Luckily though I had no run-ins with Damon. In that respect I was very lucky.
Just as I was standing there I heard a huge crash of thunder overhead and then decided that it was time to find somewhere to crash for the night. I walked through Baltimore quickly in search for a hotel to stay in. I would need to find one soon too by the looks of the gray sky.
Luckily for me that just when it was starting to rain I found a lavish hotel called Comfort Inn and Suites. I ran for it and then entered the building. Taking a few purposeful strides I made it to the front desk. Standing there was a woman.
She was very plain with dark hair and brown eyes. Not much older than me by looks either. She stood there behind the desk looking bored until I cleared my throat. Once I did it was like a switch had flipped or something. She smiled at me, "Hello miss! Would you like a room?" She asked cheerily.
Inwardly I gagged at the scent of her breath, it was like garlic and skank gum all in one, but nodded none the less. She nodded and then quickly went over and grabbed a key, "Alright for how long?" She questioned.
"For two days."
"Ok! That will be a hundred and fourteen dollars!"
Wordlessly I took out my wallet and handed her my credit card. Money never was or would be an issue for me. She quickly swiped it and then handed it back to me. "Alrighty, your room will be on the third floor!" The desk woman told me cheerily.
I took the key from her and hurried away before her breath had a chance to wash over me again. I walked into the elevator and then clicked the buttons. Originally I was so terrified by elevators. I used to freak out because this was all new to me but now it was just like clockwork.
Soon enough the elevator let me out and I went to search out room five sixty-eight. Once I found it I quickly walked in and flopped down on my bed. I took in the scent of soap and freshness from the sheets and sighed blissfully. It was good to be able to sleep on a bed.
'Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt!'
I groaned and snatched up my phone. I was so not in the mood to have to deal with Damon today. I was developing a strong urge to throw my phone out the window.
"What Damon?"
'WHERE IS MY WALLET!'
"Ouch, lighten up some. You're wallet's with me."
'Where are you?'
"Tsk. Tsk. You should know by now that I won't answer that question."
'That's fine. I'll find you soon enough.'
"Ooh, I'm so scared."
'You should b-'
I clicked my phone off and grinned. You'd think he'd have learned by now that I won't listen to him. I grabbed his wallet out of my back pocket and looked through it. There were a couple credit cards, gift cards, and -oooh- some cash.
Taking out the cash I counted through it and then let out a low whistle. He had a little over six hundred bucks on him. I grinned and got up. Bed be damned, I was going shopping.

Damon scowled as he heard the phone call drop during his mid-rant. He growled and clicked his phone off. Man he hated it when she did that.
