Help save me from this mess...
Fear was pulsating through my veins. Air was leaving my lungs faster than it could enter and I dared not look behind me. Feet thudding heavily on the ground thrusting my lithe body further and further away from them or at least I hoped so.
Turns out that traveling to Washington wasn't the greatest idea I've ever had. In my defense however how was I supposed to know that a couple of Huntsmen were going to appear? In truth I never will know.
A shriek exits my already raw throat as another knife whirls past me and narrowly nicks my neck. Blood was already dripping down my body in thick salty rivulets and my vision began to flicker from hazy to clear. Lactic acid build up in my legs was beginning to win out against my fight or flight response and I was beginning to slow down. In a few moments they would catch me and kill me for the Emri Jewel.
Racing down the lackluster street I skirted a corner and flew down the dirty alley way. As my feet hit the ground filthy water splashed up on my legs and cause shivers to race up my spine. Snarls and other gutteral sounds errupted from behind me. They were louder in frequency which suggested they were quickly gaining on me. Just as I was about to turn another corner I felt something slice into my leg.
All at once searing pain erupted throughout my leg and it went lifeless. My entire body slammed against the vile pavement and skidded across the hard surface. My flesh screamed in agony as layers were scrapped off. Just as I hit a wall black spots danced in my quickly diminishing eyesight. However a nearly scalding hand closed upon my throat; closing off nearly all of the air going to my burning lungs.
A scarred up face came into view. Their skins were flecked with blemishes in the form of scars and various lacerations. Their eyes were a calming lavender which contrasted from their sheer chaotic nature. The stench of death and decay wafted up into my nostrils and made me sick to my stomach. That was most likely originating from the furs that they choose to wear, which are tattered and covered in dried and flaking blood. The Huntsmen have arrived.
The one who was currently choking me out was uttering harsh tones at me; undoubtedly wanting the jewel. Too bad they aren't getting their hands on it. I attempted to kick at them but my girly attempts at being vicious just fell flat when the other one put their blade up to my neck. It was dull and rusted yet stunk with the stench of dried blood. Oh yes, these monsters were all for the coppery liquid.
"Just get it over with." I hissed to them. I hated the suspence with them as they continued to screech jibberish at me. I don't think that they understood that I didn't get what they were saying. Apparently what minute patience they had ran out because their blades came down onto my shoulders.
Steel bit through flesh and I screamed out as loud possible. My heart beat pounded in my ears and I gasped out when I felt my shoulder blades crunching inward. What little of my sight I retained finally relinquished its hold and my world went black. Is this really how my life will end?
Numbly I felt my body being searched but I could only grin inwardly. They'd never find the jewel. I knew that and they'd soon discover it too. If I died the jewel's whereabouts were certainly going to come with me.

Damon hobbled around the streets of Washington. He was so lucky that he had thought to put a tracker into Lily's phone when he had the chance. Without that wondrous little invention he would've never found Lily.
Consulting his phone once more his eyebrows furrowed as he saw that her tracker had stopped moving. That pretty much meant that she was either dead or being killed. Great.
