In the end I did not find my homework so I got a zero for that. That's always a good thing right? On a more positive note Garrett made me smile and laugh more in one class period then I had in all of my high school years. That right there says a lot.

I still have my guards up high though. I mean I just met the kid how am I supposed to known that he won't run off and leave me in the dust.

When history class finally ended we parted our ways and decided to meet up at lunch. It looks like today I will being going to the cafeteria, something I never did. I usually just go to the Library and sit until the bell rings.

I got to my locker and switch out my history book for my math book. The best class of the day. Ok so that was a lie. I hate math.

After closing my locker and walking to class, I sat down in my usual seat and put my head down. I didn't sleep much last night then again I never really do. Its weird, I never seem to sleep more than four hours a night.

Oh well I always get my homework done so that's a plus.

“Ok class today we will be doing problems 1-25 that you see on the board.” My teacher Mr.Franklin told us.

Oh that's a piece of cake.

“You will be doing it with a partner so that this assignment will go faster and we can start the new lesson sooner. Ok everyone partner up.”

Oh the dreaded words partner up. Most people love hearing those words, but I am not most people. I sat there at my desk awkwardly and started on the problems alone.

That is until I heard someone place a desk in front of me. I looked up and saw one of the girls that was from the popular group. I think her name is Jenni, Jenna, Jessica, Jamaica...Something along those lines.

“You’re smart so you do this assignment and I will sit here and text. Sound fair? Good I thought so.” Ms.Popular told me.

I rolled my eyes and continued the assignment. Only 170 more days Sharpie. Only 170 more.

Lunch finally rolled around and I was actually quite nervous for some odd reason. I stood at the entrance to the cafeteria and waited on Garrett. After a few minutes of waiting he showed up and we walked to an unoccupied table.

“So Danger, how has your first day here at Wimer High been?” I asked at a torn the crust of my PB&J sandwich.

He chuckled at me and the responded, “Are you really going to call me Danger now? Oh and my days been ok so far. I meet some cool guys that asked me to hang out with them later.”

I smiled at him and took a bite out of my sandwich. After swallowing that I looked back him and shrugged. “You said that your name was plain and that you wanted to be called Danger so there you have it. You are now going to be called Danger from now on. Who are the guys who asked you to hang out if you don't mind me asking?”

Before Danger could respond someone else spoke up, which scared the living crap out of me and making me drop the other half of my sandwich.

“Dude, come on lets go shoot some hoops before lunch is over with.” None other than Bennet Brice, aka one of the head populars, said to Danger.

Danger gave me a look as if he was asking my permission to go. I shrugged my shoulders as if it was not a big deal. He smiled and then stood up.

“I will see you later Sharpie.” Then he was off.
