(Third Person POV)

Natsu and Lucy stood side by side with Zeref and Ronin in front of the duo side by side as well. "Oh this should be fun." Zeref commented. "Then let's get started." Natsu said charging at Zeref with great speed. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" He yelled. Zeref dodged his attack at the last second and Natsu flew past him, but Zeref grabbed his ankle and redirected Natsu over his head to the ground in front of him. Pity and sorrow was seen in Zeref's eyes.

"Natsu!" Lucy yelled. "Dammit." Natsu cussed. Zeref clicked his tongue. "Too eager." He said dully. "Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu roared still laying on the floor, aiming for Zeref's face; which he dodged.

After Natsu's flames extinguished Lucy jumped into action and landed a kick in Zeref's stomach. "Tsk. Using Natsu as a distraction while you land attacks won't work for long." Zeref announced.

Beeep!

Zeref looked down at his stomach to see a magic bomb. "Clever." He managed to say while it exploded, but when the smoke cleared there stood an unharmed Zeref. "What the-?" Lucy started but was interrupted by a sharp pain. "Aagh!" Lucy and Natsu both screamed. "Don't forget, I'm still here." Ronin said clearly annoyed by the lack of action he was getting.

"Who the hell are you?" Natsu asked. "He's Ronin. The boy I talked to in the park when you forced me to talk to people." Lucy replied using a spell to heal the both of their pains. "Oh." Natsu said sheepishly.

"Can I use it my Lord? They're being gross and in love." Ronin complained. Zeref sighed. "I suppose so, this is getting boring. Not as exciting as I thought." He replied. Ronin smirked and raised his hands diagonally in front of him, took a deep breath and said. "Meme-" "Ice-Make: Lance!" Gray called out.

Ronin got impaled in the arm with the ice lance which he quickly took out. "About time you showed up ice cube." Natsu taunted. "Shut up. Not all of us have a flying cat to get us to the top!" Gray retorted. "Huh?" Lucy said confused. "I brought Natsu up here." A squeaky voice said behind a boulder. "Oh Happy, that's what you mean." Lucy said.

"Stop it you two, we have company." Erza said to the two males who were at each other's necks. "So polite, Titania. As I should've guessed from such a strong woman as yourself." Zeref comlimented. "Thank you, but as you know it's time for your demise." Erza replied changing into her Heaven's Wheel Armour.

"As much as I would love to fight you Ronin needs some flies to kill as well. So if you, Mr. Fullbuster and the young sky sorceress don't mind, I'll keep myself for Natsu and my star." Zeref said and turned back to Lucy and Natsu.

"Let's go Luce." Natsu encouraged setting his hands on fire. "Alright!" She reared in return. "Fire Dragon's Crushing Fang!" Natsu charged at Zeref while Lucy hung back for a minute then went to the left and charged. "Demolition!" Lucy yelled after Zeref dodged Natsu's attack. Aiming for his head she flung her fist full throttle, but Zeref only caught her fist an her spell dissolved.

Zeref started to crush her hand, which made Lucy howl in pain. "I hate to hurt you my dear but you didn't cooperate with me."

"Fire Dragon's Claw!" Natsu yelled kicking a distracted Zeref, which caused him to fly back almost off the mountain. Lucy cradled her hand, it started shaking and tuned blue and purple. "You alright Lucy?" Natsu asked but his gaze was still on Zeref, who slowly stood up. "Yea. It'll be fine." Lucy responded shaking the pain off her hand.

"Very good Natsu, you physical strength is incredible. It's a lot stronger than years ago. I'm sad that you both need to die, you two would be great additions to my army. Death Predation!" Zeref said holding out his hands to his sides while a dark energy surrounded him and started to quickly expand. "Lucy!" Natsu shouted and blocked the darkness from hitting her. "Erza, Wendy, Gray, Charles, Happy! Get out of the way!" Lucy shouted at the same time as the attack reached her and Natsu.

Zeref held his poker face as the attack faded. There sat Natsu and Lucy completely unscathed. "The hell?!" Ronin exclaimed as he caught a glimpse of the sight. "Natsu your scarf." Lucy pointed at his now black scarf. "What happened to it?" Natsu asked examining it. "Since it's made of dragon scales and Igneel obviously did something to it, it absorbed my attack." Zeref analyzed with an annoyed look on his face.

"Well thanks to Pops I still have the chance to defeat you." Natsu smirked. "And thanks to Wendy my hand is ready to help you out." Lucy said showing a tight fist with her once damaged hand. "It's cute that you think you can defeat me since you have two hands." Zeref teased. "Actually I don't think we can beat you even with everyone from Fairy Tail." Lucy said lowering her fist. "I know we can defeat you, just me and Natsu." She shot with her eyes filled with fire.

"Oh?" Zeref calmly exclaimed. "Lucy's right, we know we're gonna kick your ass!" Natsu cheered.

"Then come at me with all you've got." Zeref commanded. Natsu smirked. "Fire Dragon's Secret Art, Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fist!" He charged. Zeref was ready to block his attack but at the last second Natsu moved out of the way to reveal Lucy, charging behind him. "Leo the Lion's devine claw!" She yelled as yellow energy engulfed her fists and she repeatedly punched him.

Zeref backed up with every impact and when he saw a pause in her attack he did a roundhouse kick to her stomach. Lucy flew back and roughly landed on her feet.

"Fire Dragon's Secret Art, Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!" Natsu yelled. The attack just barely missed the black mage, but managed to singe his sash. With his usual poker face Zeref lifted one hand, one held wide while the other held his index and middle fingers up. "Death Orb." An orb of dark magic formed and hurdled towards Natsu. "Star Bomb!" Lucy shot her own magic ball a t Zeref's. They collided and cancelled each other out. "Lightning Fire Dragon's Mode!" Natsu yelled.

Zeref raised an eyebrow. "What's this?" "I got this from sparring with Laxus. Of course, I beat him." Natsu gloated. "Well let's see what kind of advantage this gives you." Zeref said. "Lightning Fire Dragon's Roar!" The pyro exclaimed. Zeref dodged his roar and Lucy's sneak attack. "Let's make this interesting." Zeref said darkly and raised one hand making and x motion, then dropped his hand.

"Aahhg!" Natsu kneeled while crying out in pain. Lucy ran over to him. "What did you do?" She screamed. "The scarf has my magic trapped in it, I just made it seep through to make contact with him. He's experiencing a quarter of the pain that you would feel of my previous attack." Zeref explained. Lucy kneeled down, while Natsu stopped his cries of pain and now hunched over in pain.

"Y-you bastard!" Natsu grunted. "Too bad life isn't fair, eh Natsu?" Zeref chuckled. "Now Lucy, my star." He smiled. "Death Orb." Lucy sprung into action, pushing Natsu away far enough so the ball of darkness wouldn't touch him. Lucy took too long and it hit her dead on. Zeref frowned. Natsu's eyes went wide. The battle between Gray, Erza, Wendy, the exceeds and Ronin stopped. Gray's mouth dropped. Erza was surrounded by a dark aura. Wendy had tears in her eyes. The exceeds were hugging each other.

"LUCY!"
