"hey jack!" she smiled and sat up to give me a hug and kiss.
"what is this?" she smiled and tugged the bag from my hold.
"i wanted to treat you to something special."
"aw these are so cute !!!" she stood up and held them up to her waist as she examined herself in the mirror.
"thank you jack. i love you so much!"

jasmine was one of the sweetest girls ive ever met. we started dating 8th grade year. she was on the chess team and i was on the soccor team. we bumped into eachother in the cafeteria and she recognized me. ever since then we have had a healthy relationship. 4 years strong.
the only problem was when my father died and i inherited all the money. it seems like these days thats all she cares about.
"hey baby..?" i sat on my bed and she came to sit next to me.
"whats up?"
"i need to talk to you about something."
"yeah??"
"i dont know how to say this...so im. just going to...say it and let it come out however it does. uhm. i feel like ever since i inherited my fathers money, thats all you care about?"
"what? jack that doesn't even make sense?? we have been dating before your dad passed away...why would my love for you change just because you gained some money in your pocket? i love you more than anything in the world...not your money. you make me so happy even when you just smile at me in the hallway...or when you invite me over for dinner...or when we fuck, even the little things just make me appreciate you...i cant believe you actually think that about me.". she scoffed.
"jasmine...im sorry....it has just been on my mind."
she brought her hand up to her eye before turning around to face me.
"i think i should go." she softly spoke.
"no, jas... i was just trying to understand..."
"you said what you had to say...."
"yes but i want you to know that it was just a thought and now that i know how you feel- "
"but thats the thing jack...you didnt know how i felt about you. which is my bad because i made you feel used. so maybe we should just take a break so i can work on myself."
"what kind of bullshit is that? you think this is the perfect time to break up? right after you accept the gift i bought for you?" i stood up and raised my voice a little which startled her.
"jack i- "
"just go jasmine...if you really want to break up so you can have time for yourself then go...."
"okay...fine." she cried some more before walking out of my room and slamming my door.
my hands slid across my face before i let out a scream and kicked my chair against the wall.

for some reason all i have been thinking about since i got home was how jack touched me and looked at me and spoke to me in the store. i know i said i wasn't intrigued by him, but there was just something there.
as if he affected me.
i sat on my couch and ate ramen noodles while watching Cow and Chicken.
it was currently 2am and i was sleepy than a bitch.
i clicked the tv off and headed upstairs to sleep.when i got a notification.
