me: because i dont need her watching my every move because she thinks we are together so can you tell her to stop please? let her know we are just friends

my mom had called me down for dinner just as i was about to type something.
i brought my phone downstairs with me and ate shrimp fettuccine while texting jack.
my dad coughed. "no computers at the dinner table...and Caren, shes grounded why does she have her phone?"
my mom responded, "because she is 17 and she needs it."
"fine..." my dad said swallowing a fork-full.
"your door is coming off."
i slammed my fork down. "what the hell thats not fair!!"
"youre grounded you need something taken away." my mom rebutted.
"okay take my computer, my xbox, my ipad, my bed, my favorite shoes but my door??? i need that for privacy."
"you can get privacy when you respect our rules and limits." my dad chewed.
"no! that doesnt even make sense...i went to a party!!! what does that have to do with a door? just say im not allowed to go out for a month! at least thats reasonable!!!"
"nothing further, eat your food before it gets cold. there is tea in the refrigerator."
"im not going to stop speaking...i think i should have some say in my own punishment."
"dammit Malory i said NOTHING FURTHER!!!" my dad slapped his hands on the table causing me to jump and the silverware to cling. my mom whispered and put her hands over her eyes.
"suddenly, im not hungry..." i whimped and put my food in a tubeware before heading upstairs.
