before i started to giggle.
"you can go first." i whispered.
"no i think you should." he replied in the same tone.
i sighed. "i dont want this to make anything awkward but.... i think i like you jack." i shrugged even though he couldn't see me.
there was a pause before he spoke.
"malory. i appreciate the thought i really do..."
my gut began to turn.
fuck malory i knew this was a bad idea.
"but i just got out of a relationship...i like you too actually... im just not---"
"you know what...its fine. im not looking for a relationship either."
we sat in silence until i drifted off into a deep sleep.
