MANILA – Karla Estrada urged the supporters of her son, Daniel Padilla, and his love team partner Kathryn Bernardo to have an open mind if ever they will be paired with other stars in the future.

This comes after Estrada was asked what she would feel if Padilla would be paired with actress Julia Barretto in a project.

Speaking on “Buzz ng Bayan” on Sunday, Estrada said the fans of Padilla and Bernardo, who are collectively known as “KathNiels,” should just support them in their projects because their careers are separate from their personal lives.

“Para sa KathNiels, maging malawak tayo sa ganung aspeto. Hindi 'yung may konti kayong [ayaw], aawayin niyo. Huwag ganun. Kasi talagang pangangaralan ko kayo sa Twitter. Kasi nangangaral ako ngayon,” she said.

Estrada believes that if Padilla and Bernardo really have a strong foundation, they would not be easily broken apart.

“Ang isang pagsasama, kung talagang matibay hindi naman masisira iyan ng trabaho and kung sinu-sino lang,” she said.

Asked about the real score between the two, Bernardo’s mom Min said: “Sa pagkakaalam ko, MU nga dahil sabi nila sa akin. Basta sabi nila, ‘MU pa lang kami,’ meaning may continuation.”

But as much as possible, Min said she does not want her daughter to enter into a relationship just yet.

“For me naman, sana huwag muna kasi bata pa. Pero kung hindi mapipigilan, okay naman si Daniel sa akin. Marami pa silang ambisyon,” she said.

According to Estrada, she is not worried that the two would rush things because they know what their primary responsibilities are.

“Sobrang nakakatuwa 'yung dalawa kasi nagkukuwentuhan sila ng mga pangarap nila together, not only for themselves kundi pati sa pamilya. Malinaw sa kanila na laging uunahin ang pamilya,” Estrada said.
