One Year Later
"Perfect, hold that pose," I said as I snapped a few more shots. Listening as the monitor beeped behind me, signaling they were showing up on the screen.
"Okay, I think I got everything I needed, thank you," I said with a smile to my model.
The music blasting through my small studio pulling me away from my work at hand. I moved to sit on my chair and click through the photos I had just taken. Sorting them accordingly to each folder.
"Miss. Choi," I heard my assistant ask from behind me and I turned in my chair, giving her my attention, "I have your mail,"
She said as she placed the multiple envelopes on my desk, as well as a coffee before she left.
I thanked her and went back to work, finishing sorting the photos before I took a break, leaning against the back of my chair, my eyes turning to the envelopes.
I took the pile in my hands and began going through it.
Cosmopolitan Latest issue, payment from GQ shoot, even a letter from Marie Claire requesting an interview and ten page photo spread from me.
I flipped through the letters until I reached the bottom of the pile, my eyebrow peaking when I only see the letter addressed to me, no return address in sight.
Turning it over i broke the seal and pulled out the paper, unfolding it to read it,
"I know you don't respond to anything but handwritten letters because, they show "effort" and "passion" as you would say. So, here I am.
You don't know how many times I've re-written this letter, but the reason behind it was, I couldn't find the right words to say. I didn't know if I was supposed to apologize for the way I let you walk out that door or thank you for making me the man I am today.
The past year has been the hardest time of my life, I was lost in my career, barely getting enough sleep to manage one task, and on top of that- I lost the love of my life.
Love of my life, yes I said it. I had convinced myself that I would continue to live off the memories of our "I love you's", but none of that could ever amount to fill the void I was left with when you were gone.
When people say Home is where the heart is, I can't help but agree. Because my home is no longer in Seoul, but wherever it takes me, as long as i'm with you.
I love you,
Jinyoung"My hands moved up to my face and wiped away the tears running down my cheeks, my lips trembling at the letter.
"God I miss you," I said through my small sobs, fingers moving down to clutch the letter in my hands.
"I've missed you too,"
I felt as if my mind was playing tricks on me, he wasn't here, but I could hear him.
He wasn't here but I could feel his arms around me; my mind wasn't playing tricks on me.
I broke down, my arms linking themselves around his neck, as I buried my head in his chest.
"You're here," I choked out, my eyes finding his dark brown ones, just as hazy as mine.
"I'm here, and i'm not going anywhere," he said, pressing multiple kisses to my temple and cheek before pressing his lips to mine.
It was a kiss that made my head spin, and my heart skip a beat. All of the passion we left twelve months ago, flooding back in a single second.
My lips molded against his, my fingers subconsciously tangling themselves in his black hair.
He soon pulled back, the smile that I loved so much gracing his lips. My own lips pulling up into a wide smile.
"I don't want to lose you Mina, I don't want to spend another second without you. I don't want to be any other place than where my heart is," Jinyoung spoke as he stared into my eyes, "All I want to do, is make you my wife,"
My eyes went wide as I watched Jinyoung sink to one knee in front of me, his hands opening a small black box to reveal a simple yet breathtaking diamond ring, "Marry Me,"
I nodded rapidly, "Of course Jinyoung, Yes I'll marry you," he smiled at my response before slipping the ring onto my finger.
"I love you," I said as Jinyoung got back to his feet, my hands going to rest on his chest as I pressed a kiss to his lips, "I love you too, so so so much,"
I smiled and looked down at the ring, still in shock from the last few moments. From the letter, to the Diamond ring.
"I almost forgot," Jinyoung said, bringing me back from my thoughts, "Guys! Come in!"
I scrunched my eyebrows together at his words and broke into a wide grin when I saw the rest of Got7 and the girls come running into the studio.
"Oh thank god she said yes!" BamBam said, earning a slap on the head from Jaebum.
"They are meant to be, of course she said yes BamBam," Jong Hye said, repeating Jaebum's motions.
I laughed at the exchange and then hugged the boys and then the girls, "Now let me see that ring!" Sunhi squealed.
I held my hand out and both of the girls squealed, "Well BamBam did one thing right here," Jackson said glancing over at the ring.
"Finally getting the recognition I deserve," BamBam said with a huff, and I gave him a hug, thanking him for helping Jinyoung.
He nodded in response and I laced my fingers between Jinyoung's as the boys told me the story of how they helped Jinyoung plan all of this.
All the while, I couldn't help but think of how perfect everything thing was in this moment. I had the man of my dreams; the love of my life beside me, soon to become my husband.
You can't fly unless you let yourself fall, well, fall in love that is.
