Remembering all over again

Chapter 3

Narrator's POV

It was late autumn, the leaves were beginning to fall on the earth's surface, preparing for a new start. Lord Yama was happily watching over his kingdom bestowed on him by his Goddess. While praying for a safe winter, for his old friend to bless him with protection, I blinding light filled the sky. Running out of his shrine, the lord watched as a ball of purple mixed with blue light fall out of the sky, landing not that far from the base of his mountain. He grabbed his coat and levitated himself to the the site, as he was far too old to be running. When he reached it, he saw a large crater made by something small in the centre. He rapidly set to sliding down the walls of the crater, almost falling at the end and running to the limp body he now recognised and a young female. She was barely breathing, and the pained expression laying on her pretty face scared the man. That's when his gaze lowered to her stomach. Am Ice like sword was sticking out of it. It's blade was shiny and smooth, covered in the blood of this young girl. The handle was an elegant light blue, darker blue jewels encrusted in it to show how valuable it really was. This blade, the man recognised it instantly. It was the blade his old friend used to kill herself, that with her lover, the first ice dragon king. His eyes grew wide. How could this girl have the sword? The last thing he heard about it was it being thrown into the centre of the earth, where most hoped it would melt. If she had chosen the same fate of his goddess, where was her Ice dragon king? Finally, why and how in god's gracious name did she fall from the heavens.

Lord Yama immediately set to getting her back to his shrine, using his levitation magic for the both of them to return safely. Upon arrival, he created ice gremlins, telling them to help his with the girl. Taking extreme measures, he ripped the sword from her abdomen, making blood spray as he froze the wound. He could sense heat and ice magics coming from the girl's magic capacity, how she had both he did not know.

After over an hour of treating and keeping the girl alive, the man finally relaxed as her breathing stabilised. It was still going to be awhile until she woke up again, so he went to rest in his chambers, his gremlins melting into the ground as the magic in the, vanished.

Days past, and the girl still didn't wake up. Lord Yama wasn't worried, she did get stabbed with the sword that could kill an ice dragon and an ice goddess, what surprised him is that she was still alive, and with that tremendous fall to add onto it. She must've been a strong Mage in her previous life.

On the one month anniversary of her arrival, she awoke with no recollection of her past or anything to do with her identity. Lord Yama lied and said he was her grandfather, her name was Frozen, and she had passed out after a nasty fall down the mountain while protecting the shrine from bandits. 'Frozen' believe it instantly. She didn't have any other way of knowing if it were the truth or not, and she didn't like the fact that she was unaware of her own being.

Still, the Lord didn't know anything about her, so he still had to find out what magic she used. He said they would train once a day, and that they started doing. After long, she only used ice make magic, which soon tuned to Ice God slaying magic with the help of the Lord.

Bandits would come to steal the sword ever so often, something so precious was highly wanting in the dark magic field. But 'Frozen' and Lord Yama protected with their lives. Mainly Frozen though, as age was getting to the Lord's current form. He didn't know when it was time for him to reincarnate to his new being, but he knew it would be soon. Luckily, he wouldn't be born as a baby, but a young lad in his prime, strong and healthy. He told Frozen if this fact and she did everything she could to prepare for his soon to come rebirth.

That's when the Fairytail gang came, and the time for the rebirth was as close as ever.
