Remembering all over again

Chapter 13

Smelling everything but Porli's house, my eyelids opened wide after the nightmare filled sleep I had previously been through. It was painful along with tiring, but I didn't remember what happened. Sighing once I realised I was in my own house, I was spooked again when someone's head popped out of the kitchen door. "Luce! You're awake! Come on, Gray made breakfast!" Natsu cheered, Happy flying in next to him. "Here, you'll need a new one." The usually teasing exceed handed me a cold cloth as Natsu took the one that had fallen from my forehead when I woke up. This reminded me of my dream. Everyone I had ever met was, for some odd reason, in my house. "Why are you being so nice to me? How did I get here? How did you find me?" I questioned as Happy placed the cloth on my forehead when I wouldn't do it for myself. "I smelt you out. And I carried you back. You were in a really bad state when we found you. What's the thing on your stomach? It's not a repercussion of Elsa, is it?" Natsu jumped on the bed in front of me, using a bigger vocabulary than I thought he had. I looked at him weirdly before identifying the fact that I may be pregnant. A blush immediately appeared on my cheeks as he looked at me with pure worry in his eyes. "U-Um, I don't know yet. I have to go to the doctor before I can tell you." I muttered, looking down at my hands on my lap, the cold patch on my forehead sticking. Natsu and Happy were silent for a moment. "Why don't you ask Wendy?" Happy was cut off from the rest of his sentence by Natsu covering his mouth. "That's alright. Tell us when you're ready." Being abnormally mature, Natsu led himself and Happy out of the room so I could prepare myself for the day.

I feel really hot today, maybe I should wear shorts? I thought to myself, standing in front of my open wardrobe before getting dressed. I had just come out of the shower I was standing in just my towel in my bedroom, alone. Or so I thought. "So, what're you going to wear today, Lucy?" The surprisingly cheerful voice of my brother's girlfriend spooked me. I spun around to see her, Virgo and Cancer having tea. "When did you guys get here?" I screamed, hiding behind the door of my wardrobe out of embarrassment. "I've been here since Gray-sama and I arrived to make you breakfast. Cancer and Virgo arrived shortly after you woke up." Juvia explained, not easing my fear one bit. "But I didn't summon you." I turned to the two, Virgo calmly sipping tea and Cancer setting up hair equipment. "You're magic is improving more by the day, so don't be surprised if you see us here without opening our gates yourself. Especially with what's on the way." Virgo looked down at my stomach to signify a baby and I blushing, covering it in embarrassment. "Come on, Lu-nee, Virgo and I will help you with your wardrobe today!" Juvia jumped up and over to my closet, searching for something as Virgo stated if it were acceptable or not. 

Once I was out, Juvia and Virgo had chosen a black mini skirt and pink, flimsy top. It covered my stomach enough to not show my scales. After Cancer did my hair, putting it into a curled ponytail, Juvia and I went out to the kitchen as the spirits returned to their realm. "Finally! We were waiting for you two." Erza sighed, sitting at the dining table with Gray at the stove. I didn't see Natsu or Happy anywhere, which was the first question to come out after greeting both guild members. "They said they needed to get something. Come on, you had a tiring day yesterday." Gray pulled out my chair, being the normal caring brother he always is. But everyone was acting different from usual, there was a weird character on the scene. Ignoring the irregular affair, we ate breakfast happily together, without Happy and Natsu returning.

Heading for the guild, Happy and Natsu still had arrived back. "Where do you think they went?" I asked Juvia as we cleaned up the breakfast dishes, Gray going to shower as Erza was sharpening her swords. "What? Happy and Natsu? They said they were going to set something up. An appointment or something." Juvia shrugged at the thought, obviously used to they strange behaviour. "A-Appointment?" I blushed, worried they might suspect something. "Yeah, why do you ask, Lu-nee?" Juvia cocked her head as she passed me a plate to dry. I quickly shook my head and looked down at the plate, my face getting hotter as I thought about it. Thinking I might be getting ill, Juvia called Erza over to finish the job. 

After my brother had finished his shower, and us our chores, we headed to the guild. "Luce! We've got a mission!" Natsu called out, running from the direction we were heading. "What is-?" I was cut off my him putting me over his shoulder and running off, my brother shouting after to let me go. "Natsu! Put me down! I'm uncomfortable!" I cried out, pounding on his back. A minute passed and he put me down in front of a large building. "What's the mission?" I sighed, knowing I wouldn't be able to get out of this when he was acting this way. "It's not a mission. Come to the guild when you''re done and tell us what's wrong. See yah later!" He and Happy quickly waved and ran away, leaving me, what I found out to be, the hospital. This boy works fast. I thought, mildly impressed with his intuition. 

Walking in, the staff seemed to be expecting me and asked what I thought could be wrong. Through a lot of stuttering and stumbling over my words, I was finally able to say I might be pregnant. I explained that I was a dragon slayer, and so was the supposed father. All of them were very nice to me. When I was getting most nervous, they asked me if I was a member of Fairy Tail. When I replied with a yes, we talked about them and my jobs until the examination with finished. "Congratulations, Ms Fullbuster. You're a mother." The doctor who had been watching overstated, handing me a pamphlet. "Everything you'll need to know is in here. As you are a dragon slayer, we have an expert you can talk to. There are also classes you can take with other parents to learn about the birth. I suggest you make your next appointment for next month." He informed to me as he walked me to the front desk, saying our goodbyes once we arrived. The receptionist also congratulated me and set up my next appointment. Everything was done so quickly and smoothly, I almost forgot about how everyone would react. 

Now, it was the hard part. I had to tell the guild...
