Lucy's PoV
Once I got upstairs again, I went to the table Juvia-nee, Gray-nii, Erza, Wendy, and Happy were sitting. I just sat down, not saying a thing, holding my head with my elbow on the table. "Um, Lucy, you good?" Gray asked with an uneasy smile as I sighed. "What the hell am I supposed to do. I don't have the money for this. Or the space. And I can't take care of something of that size..." I muttered under my breath as I thought aloud, everyone leaning in to hear. "Lucy-san?" Apparently I was so quiet, not even the dragon slayers could hear me.
Suddenly, I got a sharp pain in my stomach again. I looked down and saw the scale trying to poke through my dress. I cursed quietly and jumped up, running to the bathroom. I locked myself in there and lifted up my skirt to see. Now another scale had grown through my skin and was sitting comfortably beside the regrown one, just not comfortable for me. I whimpered to myself at how painful it was and I threw my skirt back down, annoyed this was happening to me. "I now, officially, hate Natsu." I pouted, crossing my arms. "Lucy! What's wrong?" I heard Juvia and Erza knocking on the door door as I sulked to myself. "I don't wanna talk right now!" I shouted back, not knowing why I was being so childish. "Dear Fuego, what's happening to me." I sighed, looking to the window built closest to the ceiling. Thinking of climbing out of it to escape, Erza continued to beat the door. "Come on, Lucy-nee! Time to get out! We're getting out." Juvia worried from the other side. I only jumping to the window ledge and pulled myself through it, running as I heard Erza breaking the door down.
Not knowing where else to go, I went to Porli's, also not seeing her for a while. We reunited after I got back, so it won't be the first time she's seeing me with my make over. On my way there, I passed the grocers I shopped from when getting ingredients for my cakes Porli craves so much. Deciding it had been a while since I had done any cooking, I walked to it. Behind the counter of fruits was a nine year old girl, playing with the water from a flower vase near by. I knew the family who ran the place well. They were a nice one, generous and kind. I know them personally, the daughter is called Yui. They probably won't recognise me after all that's happened. "Oh, sorry for the wait. I was just collecting more strawberries from the back. My husband picked them just this morning." The dirty blonde haired woman with a pink apron on walked to the counter with a wooden crate filled with strawberries. I smiled, seeing my first friend in Magnolia after all this time. "You guys seem to be doing well. It's been a while since I've shopped here." I looked down, admiring the good produce they grow themselves. The parents aren't magic uses, and they adopted their daughter, so they've grown them naturally. "I'm sorry, but have we met?" The woman, a little older than Erza, cocked her head to the side. "I can't believe you would forget your favourite costumer, Asuna. It's me, Lucy." I smiled, waving as I joked. Her eyes grew wide and Yui whipped her head around, the water spilling to the floor. "L-Lucy? But I heard you disappeared." Asuna gasped, walking around the counter and hugging me. "And I came back. How have you been?" I smiled, holding her hands as we let go of each, her letting one go to wipe a tear. "I was so worried about you. Yui visited Fairy Tail everyday. She even started learning water magic from one of the mages so she could go find you. We were all terrified for you." She sniffed as Yui herself ran over and hugged my legs. "I'm a water dragon slayer!" She squealed as she clings to my legs. "That's amazing, Yui. I'm so proud of you!" I crouched down and hugged her. "Kirito would be so happy to see you. But I'm afraid he's gone to the fields today." Asuna smiled as we parted. "That's alright. I think I'll be visiting a lot more from now on. But I'm in a real rush today, I'm sorry." My brows frowned as I apologised, looking out of the corner of my eye if anyone from Fairy Tail were in the area. "Oh, of course. You're a Fairy Tail mage now. What would you like today, Lucy?" Asuna rushed around the counter and got a wicker basket from the many piled by her side. "Oranges today please. I might be trying a new reciepe." I thought aloud and she put a dozen oranges in the basket. "This one's on the house. You must have had a rough year. We'll talk next time." She handed the basket over and I smiled. "Thank you, and definitely. I'll see you later, Yui. You'll have to show me your skills." I pat her head and left, waving as I walked backwards.
Once I got to Porli's, the sun was setting. I knocked on the door and she opened it immediately, a murderous aura coming from her. She calmed a bit as she saw me. "What are you doing here at this hour, child? Nothing has happened, has it?" She asked as she let me in and I put the basket of oranges and other ingredients I had collected for cake on the way here, on the dining table. "I thought it would be nice to catch up more. And I thought you wanted to try my cakes again?" I smiled at her and she walked over and hugged me. "Always so kind. It can get annoying to have someone care for you this much." She grumbled to herself as she left to finish her potions for today and I started making my cake.
It was a little late once it was finished, but it didn't matter. Porliusica and I spent the entire time discussing my ancestor and what links I have, planning for any side effects I could have in the future.
