Joes POV:
(The same day)
I woke up to the annoying tune of my alarm indicating that it was 8.00am. Today is Saturday, why do I have my alarm on when it's a Saturday?
I reached my arm across the bed and as doing so I knocked everything off my bedside table. I heard the bang as my lamp hit the floor.
Good job, Joe.
I quickly jumped out of bed just to step on a piece of broken glass.
You idiot.
It didn't hurt that much so I just sat on my bed and picked out the glass. Blood was slowly dripping down my foot as I quickly grabbed a tissue from the tissue box that I had also knocked down. The cut wasn't very deep so after a little bit of patting the tissue on my foot carefully, it stopped bleeding.
I got off the bed, more carefully this time, and dodged the smashed glass everywhere as I went downstairs to get the vacuum-cleaner. As I went pass the kitchen I noticed that my sister, Zoe, was in there cooking something. I couldn't resist so I walked in while not putting too much pressure on my foot as it still hurt a little.
"Hey Zo, what are you cooking?" I asked while peering around her shoulder. She was wearing long pink pyjama pants with black polka-dots and a loose black shirt. Her hair was done in a messy bun on the top of her head and she had no makeup on.
I guess I must a scared her as she whacked me straight in the nose with her spatula.
"Joe! Don't sneak up on me like that!" Zoe hissed.
"Ouch!" I yelped in pain while clutching my nose.
"Oh grow up you big baby." Zoe said as she started to turn back around and put her attention back on the food she was cooking.
"Zoe! You idiot!" I said looking in a spoon to see my reflection and saw that my nose was a bright purple.
"What? It can't be that bad," she started while turning to look at me, "oh my god! I'm so sorry Joe, I didn't mean to do that! Oh my god!" Zoe said starting to tear up. She never liked hurting people, especially me. She says it's because I'm her 'baby brother', so whenever she feels guilty, she gets upset.
"Zoe, it's okay. I'm fine." I said trying to calm her down.
"A-are you s-sure?" She stuttered trying to get a better look a my nose.
"Yes, now what are you cooking because it's smells delicious." I asked trying to change the subject.
"Oh, shit!" Zoe said as she turned around and saw that her newly made pancake was burnt to a crisp.
"Sorry Zoe, I was distracting you." I said, taking the blame.
"No you weren't, it was my fault. I was the one who whacked you in the nose." She said.
"Oh whatever," I said remembering the broken glass in my room, "where's the vacuum cleaner?"
"What did you do this time?" She asked, giving me a motherly look. She knows me so well.
"When I went to turn off my alarm I accidentally knocked my lamp off my bedside table and it smashed." I explained.
"Joeeeeeee," Zoe whined, "you need to be more careful"
"I know, I know. Now where is it?"
"In the laundry." Zoe said while shooing me off.
I left Zoe in the kitchen and went into the laundry. I saw the vacuum in the corner next to the washing machine. I grabbed it and walked upstairs.
