Joes POV:

(The same day)

"Zoe!" I called as I was walking down the stairs.

"What is it now, Joe?" She said, walking out of the kitchen.

"I need to talk to you, I need some advice."

"Okay, come into the lounge room with me." She said, leading me into the bigger room.

I sat down on the sofa and Zoe sat next to me. We both brought our legs up and sat cross legged, facing each other.

"What did you want to talk about?" She asked, giving me a comforting smile.

"Well, I really like this girl and-" I started but was quickly cut off.

"Eeepppp! Joe has a crush, Joe has a crush." She chanted.

"Oh shut up, Zoe. Anyway, I really want to ask her out but I'm not sure how. I wanted your help on how to ask her to dinner or something." I said, hoping Zoe won't ask who it is.

"Ok, well, who is it?" She asked.

Of course she would ask.

"Ummm.......well......its..." I didn't really want to tell her because I was afraid she would tell since their friends, but I knew if I wanted help, I would have to tell.

"It's Theo." I admitted quietly.

"What!? You like Theo?" She asked, surprised.

"Yes. Can you help me ask her out or not?" I asked, getting a bit annoyed that she would be so shocked.

"Of course I can. Joe, you're an awesome guy. Just be honest and tell her you like her. Ask if she would like to go to dinner with you and if she doesn't say yes then keep badgering her about it until she agrees. That's what Alfie did when I first met him and now we're in love." Zoe said the last part with love flowing from her eyes.

Alfie is Zoe's long term boyfriend. They have been dating for, what........3 years now? (A/N I know it's four years but i felt like three was a better match for the story) yeah, that sounds about right.

"Ok. Thanks, Zoe. When should I ask her?" I asked, breaking our eye contact.

"Now!" She chirped, jumping up from the cross legged position we were both in, which made me wonder how strong her leg and core muscles really are.

"What?! I can't ask her now!" I half shouted.

"Sure you can! Just go over to their house and ask 'Theo, will you go out with me?' It's that simple!" Zoe said while waving her arms in the air with the biggest grin on her face.

"No it's not! I can't just ask out of the blue! She will think I'm crazy!" I raised my voice, standing up from the couch.

"No she won't! Go on! Go put on your shoes!" Zoe said as she practically shoved me out the room and into the hallway.

"No, Zoe! You wouldn't know how hard it is to ask someone out! You've always been drooled over by all the boys, you've never had to work for someone to like you! Every time I even tried to ask a girl out in high school they would reject me quicker than Usain Bolt can run 100 meters! (A/N if you don't know who that is then look it up cos you should)Every time you broke up with a boyfriend you would instantly get a new one because every boy in school would be waiting at your feet! You've never had problems in friendships or relationships because everyone loves you! Zoe this, Zoe that! Even mum liked you the slightest! I can't just go over and ask her out, she will be disgusted and I don't want that to happen because you two are such good friends." I yelled at her in frustration. She didn't understand how it felt to be insecure or shy.
