Whispers

Chapter3:

Father is home and we are all standing in the lake. Mother said father is trying to take away whisperless. She explains that we must stay, so to stay hidden we will stay in the lake till he leaves.

Sometimes I wonder if mother would act like this if we weren't so far away from everything?

The twins don't know what's going on. Sometimes that would be nice.

We used to go to school but mother said they were all bad. She claimed they were horid people and they didn't understand whisperless.

Whisperless all started out as a game. Or so we thought. Soon mother wanted to play even when we didn't and kept changing rules.

I want to say I hate my mother but I don't. Somedays she is completely normal and we dance in the kitchen and watch tv, but those days are a rarity.

I no longer speak unless it's to my sister and brothers but only when they ask a question. Other than that I'm quit. One day mother kept hitting her head on the counter and yelling at the voices, asking why they are not whispering. It scared us so much. And when she turned around her eyes were purple she asked us who all could get the whispers to leave. That's the day I knew she no longer was sane. I blame it on my father. Oh how I miss mother.

Yesterday when we were whispering. Sally coughed, mother looked at her and kicked her. Sally fell to the ground mother told her to not get up until she whispers again.

When will father be back I wonder. Should he ever be back.. I pray he does maybe he can help mother, just maybe.
