Whispers

Chapter 6:

Mother is back.

I found out that she had just taken a medicine she wasn't supposed to.

So my mother isn't fixed.

My mother will always be broken I keep thinking differently then stuff like this happens.

I go visit Blake's grave today. I read him a book about a normal family. A family he will never have.

My father left the house with a packed bag. I think father is leaving. Why doesn't he see we want to leave too??

Today mother took us outside to play in the lake. When I was younger she told me the lake would keep me protected. Now it's the only place I feel safe.

Sally and I pretended we were a normal family. I was the mother and my sisters were my daughters.

As I drift off to sleep I hear strange sounds coming from the kitchen.

I get up and see mother. She said honey why are you up so late. I thought it was a dream but it felt so real. She made me some soup and held me in her arms as we slept.

Waking up the next morning I realize it wasn't a dream. She is still asleep but what will she act like when she wakes?
