Hidden Life (on hold)

Chapter 16:

"He's so JELLY!" I hear Jay running past me and Lucas and through the house screaming.How does he have so much energy?

"What were you doing at the shops that took you so long because I know that you haven't had a 'quickie' because Jayden hasn't had a 'quickie' ever in his short life before." Lucas is completely serious and I am just plain shocked. Has Jayden never ever ever had sex before? That makes him a virgin then? Oh... the innocence that I will slowly corrupt... *cue evil laugh*

"Way to ruin the joke!" I sigh. "Lucas, if you really must know, we just did a quick loot of a jewellery store. Nothing big and nothing to worry about."

"Nothing to worry about! None of us knew that you were doing that! What if you got caught? What if something went wrong? Hmm? Who would help you then? None of us- Because we DIDN'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE DOING!"

"Jeez, take a few dozen chill pills and calm down! I know what I am doing! Do you think that I haven't done that before? I did become a gang leader for a reason and I did have to work for it! Seriously! Why are you so worked up?" Before Lucas can reply, we hear another shout from inside coming from Jayden. "Because HE IS JEALOUS! HE IS SO JEALOUS! LUCAS IS JEALOUS!"

I huff out a breath and push past Lucas to get in the door but he grabs my wrist with his hand, stopping me from going anywhere. He looks like he has something to say. But I don't care to listen to him at the moment so I simply rip my arm out of his grip- Jesus his grip is strong!- and walk upstairs and to my room. When I reach my room, I immediately slam the door shut and flop down face-first on my neatly made bed. Hmm, someone must have made it for me today because I surely did not even think about making my bed when I got up this morning. I quickly make a note to myself to thank whoever it was when I next see them but I must have been tired and not really taken notice because, within the next few minutes, I am fast asleep and still laying face down in an uncomfortable position on my bed. The covers are still for me but I still somehow manage to doze off anyway.

                                                                  - - 2 Hours Later - -

I was woken up to the sound of shouting going on outside my door. "No! We should just let her sleep! She has been so tired lately!" followed by "Yeah, she may be tired, but she needs to eat too and I have made dinner." This was followed by an excited sounding "DINNER?!" Which I am going to assume came from Jayden. 

He is so oblivious- That's why I love him. Whoa, not love-love. I didn't mean it like that! Stop getting ahead of yourselves guys! I am not just going to say that and then be like ' Oh! I think that I really do love him! I am going to ask him if he loves me back and then we will get married, have children and grow old together- EWWW! Who wants that? I mean, I am only 18!

Anyway, hearing my stomach grumble, I realise that feeding the monster inside me is a top priority for the moment and I stumble to the door- After wiping the sleep out of my eyes and fixing up my clothes and bed-head, of course- and open it to face with Kayden and Mackenzie standing off.

"Guys, I want food so get me food. And stop. The testosterone levels are suffocating me." And I shuffle past them, making my way to where the kitchen is. "Um, the kitchen is this way." Kayden is pointing in the opposite direction to where I was heading and I huff a breath. "Oh, thanks. Mackenzie told me it was this way." And walk in the direction he was pointing.

Mackenzie doesn't like that. "I did not tell you that!" Kayden just believes me. "Dude, there is no reason to tell her the wrong direction."

"But I didn't tell her the wrong direction!"

I smile to myself as I keep walking and leave the boys to their think.

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!"

"Did too!" 

"Did too!"

"Did not!- aww damn it!"

Mackenzie just walks after me chuckling lightly. "See man? I told you that I didn't. Seems like you knew that all along." And when he catches up to me, he swings an arm right over my shoulders, leading me along to the kitchen and to my beloved food.
