Seeing that I only had one more day after today until I would be going back to school, I decided that I would be able to have a fun night and also have time to sleep it off tomorrow- the day before school. About 1 hour ago I asked- no, I actually commanded  the boys to get ready to go out to a club but to put their clothes in a bag and wear something more suitable.

Suitable for what, you ask? Well, I also decided that we were going to go to my favourite place in the whole world- besides my bed, of course. Where? A fighting bar downtown.

It is where I fight. It is where I am known as the top fighter. It is where I can be myself completely and not worry about others seeing me or worry about my nerd facade. I can just be me.

As I just mentioned, yes, I am the Champion. I would love to be able to say that I am completely undefeated, but I am not. You see, I lost only once and you could maybe- just maybe- say that I let them win. Because, in reality, I did let them win when instead, I could have kicked their ass so bad. But I didn't. And now that they are gone, I wish I whipped their ass and beat the complete shit out of them. But, again, I didn't do that. It was a vulnerable moment and it was also my first fight. After that, they were out of my life anyway, for good or for bad, so I have never lost another fight- on purpose or not- ever since that one time.

I take pride in my title as a mother takes pride when her child gets top-of-the-class marks on a test in Primary School. And tonight, I will be defending it. I will fight the challenger who dares to take me on and I will fight them for the title as the top fighter at the bar. And I will win. I always do.

Now that we are here, the boys get out of my car and follow me straight through the side doors, straight past security- I am a regular- and into the FIGHTERS ONLY area.

I sit on the lounge chair in the far corner of my reserved room because I am the top fighter (and I am amazing too of course) And I know the owner of the whole bar and fighting area. Taking off my baggy jumper, I reveal my tight sports bra which gains a whistle from Jay which also earns an eye roll from Lucas. Why can't Lucas just loosen up and have some fun for a change?

I expertly wrap my hands before I warm up, punching an imaginary opponent in the air in front of me as the boys chat amongst themselves good-naturedly. Then I hear my name from the ring and walk out to fight.
