Damn Lucas and his big mouth and smart brain and his non existent speech filter!

Kayden looks at me. "You street fight love?" He says in his ever charming British  accent. "I always wondered why you snuck out of the gang house at night. And why you left me in bed. alone all the time." He winks at me and I scowl.

Mackenzie chokes on his own spit. "You slept with him?!"

"Now is not the time for that conversation." I manage to growl out through clenched teeth.

"Your right, I would much rather talk about it over the pillows. Wouldn't you love?" I resist the ire to punch Kayden. "If you want to keep your man parts, then you will stop now."

He just laughs. "I sure do want to keep them alright. And I bet that you wouldn't want me to loose them either, you enjoy them way too much for that."

Within seconds of him finishing that sentence, I have pulled the knife out of my book and thrown it. It lands perfectly on its mark. Right between his legs and not even an inch below his junk.

"You missed." He says, trying to cover up his nervousness but I still hear the quiver in his voice. "I never miss. And I won't miss you if and when I decide to kick you out of the gang. And you know that people don't just walk away from the gang alive don't you? Considering how many ex gang members that I have sent you to get rid of?"

I just smile innocently at him. "Can I stay here tonight? I don't feel like going home right now. Too much of a drive. Your parents are away aren't they?"

Jayden just bled his head to both of my questions and I smile. "Thanks! Oh and can Kayden stay too?" He nods to that as well. "The rest of you can leave. I will have a talk to you about going on unorthodoxies missions later. I want to talk to Kayden about it now though, and then let off some steam.

**** AFTER HAVING A SHORT SHOWER ****

"Kayden!" I yell out. "Can I borrow a shirt and some boxers please!" I don't hear a reply but decide to edit a minute anyway, just in case.

I guess I make the right choice because about 30 seconds later, there is s knock on the bathroom door and I hear Jayden's voice- he sounded hesitant. "I have got them."

"The door is unlocked, come on in."

I am standing there only in a towel and when he opens the door, he stops in surprise. With wide eyes, he walks in and holds his hand out with the clothes in them. I take them, obviously.

"Thanks." Then I do something that every girl knows how to do expertly well.

I hold up the towel around my body while slipping the shirt over the top. Once my whole body is covered by the shirt, I drop the towel and pull on the boxers. Not having a care in the world.

But it looks like Jayden cares because he is standing there with flaming red cheeks and looking at me. I shrug and walk past him. "Thanks" I whisper as I give him a small but lingering and suggesting kiss on the cheek.

He just goes even redder if that was even possible. I don't know why or how one of the most popular bad boys at my whole school gets so embarrassed when he sees a girl. Unless he really isn't the bad boy I originally thought he really was.

Maybe he is more innocent then other people think. I am going to be the one to find out.

I am making it a promise.

And I never break my promises. Never.
