Hidden Life (on hold)

Chapter 24 - Part 1:

Just a short half-chapter because I needed to update for you guys! Hope you enjoy!

Walking into school, most people are already out of the hallways and in class waiting for the bell, or too busy rushing in the corridors to make it on time that nobody really gives me a second glance- though I do still keep my head down just in case, but I know that will only last until I reach my classroom and I either walk in, or the teacher calls roll. Yay.

Noticing the boys walking in the doors behind me, I frown. They are talking amongst themselves and laughing when all of a sudden Lucas points to me and his eyes follow his hand. Then he realised that I am looking at him and he stops. So does all of the laughter surrounding him as the others notice too. I shoot them a glare that could clearly tell them what will happen when we get home later and that it won't be good.

Sneaking a peak of the time from my watch, I hurry to pick up my pace and fast walk towards my locker. Reaching it, I pull out my bag and grab the books from inside of it, chucking them in my locker and grabbing the ones I need for my first classes. Hefting them into a comfortable position in my hands, I turn, giving the boys one last, menacing glare, before stomping off almost grudgingly in the direction of my first period classroom, dreading what is to come when I walk in.

Hearing the bell ring, I quicken my pace once again and now I know that my fate has been sealed and that the gods must really hate me. I will have to walk in late, probably sat my name because they won't recognise me, and then everyone will be shocked, someone will corner me later and accuse me of trying to get attention or be popular or blablabla. Let's face it, my day will be pure, undiluted, and painful torture given to me by my oh-so-amazing classmates and teachers. Again, yay.
