Chapter 21:

I wake up feeling tears running down my cheeks as I snapped out of my dream. I just relived the death of my parents, as it seems I do over and over again.

The door swings open softly and Lucas walks in slowly. "Hey, are you ok?" His concern makes me smile slightly.

I wipe my eyes with the sheets and sniff. "I am fine, it was just a bad dream. Why are you here, I know you had a reason."

"Yeah." He sighs. "Me and the boys all think that you should go to school today because you have missed so long. We have told them that you were sick but you can't just not go and miss out on all the work. Mac, Jay and I will be going back with you. Also, you will need to organise a gang meeting as soon as you can because we have someone who wants to join. Just do it soon."

I muttered a small and tired 'ok' in response and merely rolled over in bed to wake up a bit more before I had to get ready for school- they were right. I do need to go to school. One of the promises that I made to myself when I started working my way up the gangs ladder, was that I would complete school with as high grades as possible. And I don't brake my promises. Ever.

Sorry for the really short chapter- I have been sick recently too as well as on holidays so I haven't had the time or been in the mood to write. Hopefully I will be able to update still when I go back to school in a week due to the beginning of the year being busy.

Thanks for reading!
Xx
