A week had passed and still no sign of Bruce. The children were worried, but Kathy didn't seem that concerned. The police said they were "trying their hardest", but that didn't fool anyone. The missing persons count had incline to 11. The Nukkus wasn't going to stop there.

Cooper woke up with a scream. He had had a nightmare about the Nukkus. He had seen it come and take his mother. His little brother had watched the whole thing and his scream was still echoing in his head. The nightmare seemed so real, but he eventually convinced himself it was fake. Cooper looked at his clock on his black end table. The time read 3:24. Cooper shivered as he realized his window was open.

"That's weird," Cooper thought. "I closed that before I went to bed."

Cooper got up and went to check on his brother... just in case. He walked in and looked at tyler's face. His eyes were open and had tears streaming down them. He coughed and sprayed a foul black liquid onto his pillow. Cooper put his hand on Tyler and shook him.

"Tyler! What's wrong," he shouted.

Tyler eyes changed as he jolted upright. He started crying. The tears developed a grayish tint to them. They had a watered down charcoal look to them. Cooper wiped away the tears.

"What's wrong, Tyler," Cooper repeated.

"I had a nightmare," Tyler managed to spit out through the tears.

Cooper sat on Tyler's bed and hugged him. He stayed there for 10 minutes, trying to comfort his shaking brother. Cooper and Tyler had a bond, one that made Cooper feel responsible for Tyler. After rocking Tyler back and forth for a few minutes, Tyler's body started to relax. He went back under the covers and fell asleep. Cooper hopped off the bed, trying not to wake his sleeping brother.

Cooper started walking back to his room when something touched his shoulder.

"Is everything okay," Megan whispered. She was awoken from her deep slumber when she heard Cooper's voice.

"Yeah, Tyler just had a nightmare."

"Oh okay good. I thought I heard a scream too."

Cooper's forehead crinkled. He was confused but didn't say anything.
