Arranged marriage between the purebloods

A Decision Is Made

Hey guys! :) So this chapter takes place summer before 4th year (Goblet of fire).Again, half will be Draco's parents with Cherish's parents. Then the other half will be Draco and Cherish. ENJOY! :)

"Lucius!" Narcissa yelled out running into her husbands study. "Darling, Cherish's parents are on their way over." Lucius smiled. "Our good friends. Is Cherish with them?" "No dear. She's visiting some friends before she returns to beauxbatons." Narcissa answered"I intend to ask them why they decided to send her there." Lucius told Narcissa. "Oh its none of our business how they raise their daughter, Lucius." But, Lucius was intent on discovering what they were hiding. If they were hiding something, he was going to find out what it was.

Later on that evening

Lucius and Narcissa welcomed their old friends into Malfoy Manor. It had been at least five years since they last spoke. But, the way they were acting. It was like not a day had passed. They ate, They drank, Talked about old times. A very splendid evening. Over wine, Lucius decided to finally start asking about Cherish. "How is Draco doing at hogwarts so far?" Marcus asked Lucius. "Very well, thank you." "And how is dear Cherish getting along at beauxbatons, Lucinda?" Narcissa asked. "It was a little hard for her in the beginning but, she managed to maintain her grades through the tough transition." Replied Lucinda. "Oh yes, Draco had mentioned that to us when we asked him how she was." Marcus and Lucinda looked slightly confused. "We.. actually didn't know that Draco and Cherish were friends." Lucinda spoke with curiosity in her voice. Narcissa and Lucius looked at each other, and then back at them. "Well, after their first year at Hogwarts I noticed they were writing letters to each other. They havent stopped talking since." Narcissa confessed to them. "How typical of teenage girls to hide things from their parents." Lucius told the couple. Narcissa reassured them "I'm sure she just forgot to mention it to you." "Speaking of Hogwarts, May i ask why you decided to send Cherish to beauxbatons after just one year at Hogwarts?" Narcissa shot her husband and death glare, as if to say "Lucius, Drop it." He looked back at his wife with a wink. "Well i'm sure you as a father will understand Lucius. We decided to send her to an all girls school so she could focus on her studies without the distraction of boys." Lucius nodded to Marcus in agreement. "Also.." Lucinda spoke up. "We didn't want her to fall in love with a mudblood or a halfblood. Only to get her heart broken when we told her that kind of marriage is out of the question." "How noble of you to protect her." Narcissa looked at her husband and knew exactly what he was thinking. But, she wasn't against the idea

 Lucius stood from his chair and announced "I think i have a solution to your worries, my dear friends." The couple looked at him filled with curiosity. "How about.. an arranged marriage." Narcissa looked at the couple, Who were now looking at each other with a mix of emotions. Marcus spoke first. "Well we're not against the idea. I mean, You both, and Lucinda and I.. were all betrothed by our 16th birthdays." Lucinda added "I agree." The couple then looked at each other. Lucinda asked Marcus.. "Who will be her husband?" Lucius spoke up. "What about.. Draco and Cherish?" He looked around the room for approval. Narcissa looked from her husband back to the couple hoping they would agree. "That is a good idea." Marcus told Lucius. "Yes, They are both pure bloods and they seem to get along very well." Lucinda said in agreement.  "Well then I guess its settled." Lucius spoke to the room. "Draco and Cherish, From this night on, are.. betrothed to one another." Narcissa smiled widely. They raised a toast to their future in laws. Lucinda asked "When are we going to tell them? The children?" Lucius looked at his wife. "Why not tell them tonight?" Everyone nodded in agreement. Just then, Lucinda came up with an idea. "Here's a thought." Everyone looked at her. "We tell our children they are already intended to be married to someone. But, we don't tell them who? That's the traditional way about it anyways." She looked around the room for approval. Narcissa agreed. Eventually Marcus and Lucius did as well. "I guess Cherish will be returning to hogwarts?" Lucius asked with excitement in his voice. "I don't see why not." Marcus replied. They finished the evening with hugs and handshakes. Narcissa and Lucius waited for Draco to arrive home. Lucinda and Marcus went home to do the same. 

Cherish's house

"Mum? Dad? Are you still awake?" You yelled out walking through your front door. "Cherish, My dear." Your mother came running over and gave you a big hug. Your father following close behind her. "Well, Hello mommy." You smiled. "We have wonderful news my darling. Come into the parlor and sit down." Like always, you did as you were told. "So whats the big news?" You asked, obviously excited. "Well we have good news and even better news for you." You sat up in your seat on the sofa. "The good news is you'll be going back to hogwarts in two weeks instead of beauxbatons." Your eyes nearly jumped out of their sockets! "Really?!? Oh my goodness thats great!" You secretly wanted to see you're good buddy Draco again. "Now for the even better news." Your father announced. "Well, I don't know what could possibly be better than that but, we will see." Your parents smiled while looking at each other. Seconds felt like hours waiting to hear what they had to say. Your father finally broke the silence "You are engaged to be married my beautiful Cherish." Your jaw hit the floor and your eyes widened. "But.. I'm too young to get married." You replied. "No, no, no dear." Your mother reassured you. "It's not like you'll be married tomorrow or anything like that. We just made this arrangement tonight with your fiances parents." Your father now joined you and your mother on the couch. "This marriage will take place years from now, When you're a grown woman." You suddenly became excited. All you could picture in your head was a beautiful wedding ceremony. But, thoughts of your wedding day stopped when you had one question pop into your head. "Mum? Dad?" "Yes?" They both answered. "Who is my future husband?" They both looked at each other with smiles. "We will tell you when the time is right, my dear." Your father told you.  You became a little nervous, and your parents took notice. "Don't worry my dear, we have selected you a fine husband. He's a pureblood. He is strong both in the body and the mind. He comes from a wealthy family and from what we know.. He likes you already."

Draco's house

You arrived home a little late that evening. To your surprise, Your parents were still awake. "Odd." You thought to yourself. As you approached the front door you remembered.. "The only time they wait up for me is when they have something to tell me." You opened the door and walked inside. Almost immediately, Your father called for you to join him in his study. Your mother was in there waiting as well. After you sat down in the chair in front of your father's desk, Your mother smiled at you. "What?" You asked curiously. "Your father and i have wonderful news for you, my son." You looked at them both. They looked at each other with so much happiness in their eyes and looked back at you, finally, your father told you. "Draco, you are engaged to be married." You almost fell out of your seat. Your mother didn't know what to make of the expression on your face. A mix of shock and happiness. "To who, father?" "Not to worry, my dear boy." Your father spoke getting out of his chair and making his way over to you. "Your mother and I made this official tonight. We have chosen the perfect wife for you. She's beautiful, Intelligent, A pureblood, Loyal, Obedient, and wealthy, just like our family." "But..Who is she?" Your parents looked at each other smiling. "You will find out in time Draco." Your mother replied to you.
