The Wizard war was taking its toll on Draco and you noticed. Three months had passed since your wedding and you both had been jumping on each other like rabbits. Just like any new experience that you enjoyed, it was all you wanted to do. Every morning, afternoon and night. He did as well. Mostly because he loved doing it with you so much. But, you knew it did help relieve his stress. You and Draco had your own floor at Malfoy Manor. With a kitchen, dining room and living area with a fire place. 3 bedrooms all with their own on suite bathrooms. Draco spent most of his time downstairs with his parents discussing the war. While you were upstairs doing your own thing. He was never too busy to come upstairs and spend time with you. Occasionally Lucius and Narcissa joined him to see how you both were getting on. To them, you were the perfect daughter in law. Especially, Narcissa. One afternoon, you left Malfoy Manor to go shopping. Draco stayed home with his parents. You decided to have lunch at a little café. You ordered pumpkin juice and a small entrée. Not that you were concerned about keeping your figure or anything. You had just been feeling a bit off lately. Small stomach cramps here and there. As you were eating, you felt a strange feeling building up in your stomach. You looked down at your food to see if anything was out of the ordinary. Nothing looked off. All of a sudden. You knew what was going to happen. You ran to the bathroom and vomited. Once it was over you rinsed your mouth in the sink and popped in a mint. "That was strange" You thought to yourself. You payed your bill and made your way back to Malfoy Manor.
That night the same thing happened while Draco's parents joined you upstairs for dinner. You were quite embarrassed even though you made it to the washroom in time. "Cherish, are you sick my dear?" Narcissa asked with everyone looking at you curiously. "Oh no, must have been the pumpkin juice I had with my lunch." Lucius and Draco didn't think much else of it but, Narcissa had a curious look on her face. You ignored it and went back to eating. While you both were preparing for bed Draco asked you again. "Are you sure you're not sick?" He asked very concerned. "Yes I'm sure, my love. Probably just nerves." The next morning you woke up. You could barely move. No matter what you did. You couldn't shake the nauseous feeling. Draco made his way upstairs that afternoon and was surprised to not find you in the kitchen preparing lunch. "Odd." He thought to himself. He made his way to the bedroom and walked in. There you were, still in bed. It wasn't like you to sleep in and he became very concerned. "Cherish, are you alright? It's not like you to still be in bed at this hour." You rolled over and told him you felt very ill and you had already got sick twice that morning. He had a nervous look on his face. "Let me get my mother. I'll be right back." He kissed your head and made his way downstairs.
Draco's POV
"Mother!" You yelled loudly. "Draco, what's so important you need to shout?" She asked a bit mad. "It's Cherish. She's very ill. She hasn't been out of bed all day." Your mother then became concerned and called for your father. Your parents followed you upstairs. Your father sat in the kitchen with you while your mother brought an anti - sickness potion to Cherish. She was in the room for a little longer than needed but, you figured she was just comforting her. You and your father discussed how Cherish must be sick because of worry for you. You hoped it wasn't something much more serious.
Cherish's POV
You heard your bedroom door open. "Cherish? I brought you an anti - illness potion. It will help with the nausea." You sat up in bed and quickly drank the potion. After half a minute. It subsided and you could now get out of bed. "Thank you, mother." As you made your way to the bathroom to shower she asked "Cherish, do you know why you became so sick all of a sudden?" Like she already knew the reason. "No? I'm thinking it's my stress getting the better of me." You answered. "May I ask you a question, Cherish?" "Anything." You replied turning around. "When was the last time you bled?" You thought for a minute trying to remember the exact date. "Hmm, I can't really recall." She eyed you curiously. "Ok well, let me know if you need anything else." She smiled and hugged you. You began to wonder why she had asked you about that. But again, thought nothing of it. Draco stayed upstairs with you for the rest of the day while his parents went back downstairs.
Draco's parents POV
Narcissa was acting strange all day. Always smiling and in a very chipper mood. "Something on your mind, Narcissa?" Lucius asked his wife curiously. "I must tell you something, Lucius.." She replied. He looked at her as if to say 'Let's here it'. "I think we may be grandparents soon." She whispered with a smile. "WHAT?" Lucius exclaimed happily. Narcissa shushed him. "I'm not sure but, the signs are all there. She's been sick the last few days, physically exhausted, and she does have a certain glow coming off her. Also, I asked her when the last time she bled was.." "And?" Lucius asked. "She says it's due any day now but, the last time she bled before that she told me it was shorter and lighter than usual. As if it didn't really even come at all." Lucius smiled and nodded. "I wonder if it will be a girl or a boy" Narcissa told her husband. "I guess we will have to wait and see." Lucius smiled at her.
