Lucy glared at her sister from across the room, watching her put clothes in a suitcase.
" Who the fuck are the Gallagher's anyway? " she barked, shoving a smoke in her mouth and lighting it.
Brooke sighed and glanced back at her.
" Fionna is a friend of mine and she said she'd gladly take you in "
Lucy felt her blood begin to boil. Not only did this family treat her like shit, now they were sending her away to live with some people she doesn't even know?
" This entire family is crap! You are all drug addicted pieces of shit that can't live like humans and treat everyone else like trash! " she screamed.
Brooke paused and looked at Lucy.
Lucy's dark brown eyes stared back into her sisters blue ones.
" Be happy " Brooke growled.
Lucy couldn't believe her ears.
'Be happy? BE HAPPY?!? You idiots are sending me away and you tell me to be happy?!?!'
Lucy balled her fists and ran at her sister, landing a punch on her cheek.
" You fucking bitch! I hope you get hit by a car! Then maybe you'll think about someone else and with your last breath apologize for denting the poor persons car with your worthless body!"
Lucy regretted nothing of what she said. It was true.
She grabbed her bag and ran down the stairs. She knew where to go and frankly she thought maybe, just maybe, the Gallaghers would be a better family than hers.
Lucy felt a tug on her arm and froze.
She slowly turned her head to see her older brother Greg looking at her with sorrowful eyes.
" I'm so sorry " he muttered the empty apology.
Lucy, fighting the urge to collapse into the arms of the one family member who actually cared, walked out the door.
Not looking back.
