Chapter 1

Chapter 1 ~

"Hey guys!" I said putting down my bag on a bench and hanging up my jacket.

"Hey Leigh" Britney smiled at me. I changed into black spandex, and a purple tank top and we walked out of the change room and into the studio.

"Alright ladies! Let's work on our provincials routine!" Our coach Emily called out. Everyone ran to their places and got into position. The familiar beat of 'They Don't Know About Us' by Victoria Duffeild feat. Cody Simpson, started playing and we started our dance.

I did my back walk over and landed in splits, just as the last beat sounded.

"Amazing girls! Go hit the showers!" She called. So you might be thinking that was a short practice, but we had done the same routine five times, and everyone who had a solo, duet or a trio, ran through their dance twice so all in all the practice took about two hours and we practice two hours five days a week and then a extra ten hours on weekends. So two hours Monday through Friday and five hours Saturday and Sunday.

"Leigh! Can I talk to you a second?" Emily said

"Yes Miss Emily?" I asked

"I want you to know that for your solo at provincials, you will be being scouted" she said

"Scouted? What does that mean?" I asked

"It means that everyone in that division, is being watched for a scholarship to a private school in London" she said

"London England?" I asked

"That's the one" she smiled

"Wow" I breathed "thank you!" I exclaimed throwing my arms around her in a hug. She laughed.

"No problem kid"'she smiled and let me go. I ran back to the change room pulling my sweat pants and jacket on. I grabbed my bag, and walked to the front entrance, waiting for my sister to pick me up.

"Hey Leigh" she smiled as I climbed in the car.

"Hey Hillary" I said

"So. Home or hospital?" She asked sadly. We looked at each other and sighed.

"Hospital" we sighed and she drove down the familiar streets to the Henson County Hospital. We walked in and said hello to the doctors.

"Hello girls" Dr. Julie said

"Hi Dr. Julie" Hillary smiled.

"Any change?" I asked her. Her face fell, and she shook her head.

"I thought so" I murmured sadly. We opened the door to my brothers room and saw my other sister Holly, Hillary's twin. They have brunette hair and green eyes. Just like my mom and my brother had green eyes. They're probably so dull now. Me? I have blonde hair and blue eyes. No one else in my family does, except for my dad, from what my mom tells me.

"She's not coming is she?" I asked sadly. Holly shook her head and continued to hold my brothers hand. I smiled sadly and sat down on my brothers other side and took his hand in mine.

"Please wake up. I need you" I whispered to my brother Tanner.

"Tan please" I cried squeezing his hand. I bent forward and rested my head on his chest and closed my eyes.

"Leigh. Leigh. Lee. Leigh. Wake up" Hill said shaking me lightly. I groaned and rolled over.

"Come on kid, you have to get up" she said ruffling my hair.

"What time is it?" I asked sleepily
