Chapter 4

Chapter 4 ~

Leigh P.O.V.

Nationals are finally here and I can't believe it! We have only two days to go now, and we have a double practice tonight, because the day before we don't have a practice, everyone uses it to finish packing.

"Alright girls, we're going to run the solos now! Audrey your first, then Brooke, and then Leigh" Emily called

Audrey stepped into the middle of the floor, and everyone else stepped back. Her music started and so did she. She started with some leaps, and a back walkover, then a back handspring, and a few dance moves.

"Good job Audrey! You're free to go! Have a nice night!" Emily said letting Audrey go home. We all smiled at her and waved as she stepped into the change room.

"Leigh, I'm sorry for the way I've been acting. I'm so sorry you had to watch me do all of that" my mother cried as I stepped into the house.

"Mom, are you sober? I asked as she crushed me into a huge bear hug.

"Yes honey, I am" she laughed releasing me.

"There's a pizza in the kitchen for you three" she smiled walking to her bedroom.

"Pizza!" I yelled running to the kitchen with my sisters in tow.

We gobbled down the pizza faster then you could say pizza. We laughed and talked and watched some TV. A few house later we turned to the music channel and heard a familiar beat.

"You're insucure! Don't what for! You're turning heads when your walk through the door-or-or!" We shouted with the song, What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.

"Oh you girls" my mother laughed standing at the bottom of the stairs watching us dance around like lunatics.

"Girls, it's eleven o'clock. Can you please go to bed?" She asked

"Yes mother" we laughed and walked up the stairs to our rooms. I closed the door and changed into pyjamas and crawling under the covers.

The next morning, I woke up at ten o'clock. I immediately jumped out of bed and took a shower. I wrapped a towel around my body and stepped out pulling on a pair of Tanner's sweat pants and a spaghetti strap tank top. I dried my hair and stepped out of the bathroom.

I pulled out my Elite Dance Academy duffle bag, and started to pack my dance things. I packed my costumes, hair spray, hair brush, curler, straightener, bobby pins, clips, and hair elastics.

Hillary, Holly and I are driving up tonight because my solo division is at ten am.

As we drove to the venue, for nationals, I couldn't help but think about this time of year. It's been a year since Tanner and I were in the car accident and now, I'm going to the same place, for the same reason but only with my sisters instead of my brother.

Every so often, my sisters would look at me. I guess to make sure I'm okay, because they know this is the anniversary of the accident. Every time I just smiled at them. That's all I can do.

As we drove, it was pretty silent, until we reached the venue. National Dance Acedemy.

As I walked into the National Dance Academy with the rest of my team mates, we all talked about how we think we can actually win.
