Chapter 12 ~
Niall's P.O.V.
I sat in the uncomfortable plane chair watching a movie, as Leigh rested her head on my shoulder sound asleep. I can't take this anymore! I want to get home! See my mother, father, brother, sister in-law, and my little nefew. I miss my family so much, but I have the boys and Leigh, and they are my family too. When the pilot said to put our seat belts on, I shook Leigh awake, and we waited for the plane to land.
"Hmm are we there yet?" She groaned shifting in her seat
"We're about to land" I said obviously smiling like an idiot
"Yey" she smiled sitting up and looking out the window, as my home, and soon to be Leigh's home, started getting closer, and closer to us.
When we landed, Leigh and I raced off the plane and straight to baggage claim where we grabbed our bags, and went to the terminal to wait for my parents. As we waited, I saw the familiar faces of my mom and dad come into view. I jumped up, and ran to them like a little kid, and attacked them in a hug.
"And who's this cutie?" My mom said looking behind me at Leigh.
"Um, well, mom, dad, this is Leigh" I said pulling Leigh closer to us.
"So you're the famous Leigh I've heard so much about! It's nice to finally meet you sweetie, I'm Maura, your step-mum I guess" mum smiled wrapping Leigh in a bear hug.
"It's nice to meet you too" Leigh got out while being squished by my mother.
"Hey Leigh, I'm your father" dad said
"Hi" Leigh squeaked after mum let her go.
"Baby he won't hurt you" I whispered to her. She looked at me with unsure eyes, before looking back at dad who you could obviously tell wanted nothing more then to hug his only daughter, whom he hasn't seen in almost fourteen years. She stepped closer to him, and he pulled her into a hug. When I heard a sniffle, I knew he was crying.
"How about we go home?" Mum asked. We all nodded, and piled into my parents car.
Oh I hope this goes well....
We pulled into the drive way, and I saw Gregg's car parked there. I practically jumped out of the car, and sprinted inside to see my brother.
"Gregg!" I shout
"Niall!" He yells attacking me in a hug. We chuckle and sit down on the couch. Mum, dad and Leigh come inside, but instead of Leigh coming into the living room, mum leads her to the kitchen.
About ten minutes later, mum, dad and Leigh walk in, mums hand on Leigh's shoulder. This will either go well, or really really bad.
"Aww who's this?" Gregg asks standing up, and walking over to Leigh.
"Niall did you adopt a girl or something? She's so cute!" He coos, pinching Leigh's cheeks.
"I'm not five" Leigh snarls swatting Gregg's hands away.
"Actually Gregg, Leigh's not my daughter" I say quietly
"Then who's is she?" He asks standing up
"Mine. She's your half sister." Dad says
"And no one bothered to tell me!? She must be 14 years old! That's 14 years that no one bothered to tell me about her!" Gregg yelled
"Gregg, calm down," I tried
"No Niall! I will not calm down! Mum, he cheated on you and had a child! Why are you still with him!? His child is standing right infront of you and you aren't doing anything!" He yells again
"I forgave him Gregg. It was along time ago, and without us, this girl right now wouldn't have a home! A proper one at least! Gregg, you need to calm down, and try to get to know your sister." Mum reasoned
"No. I won't. This isn't something you get over." Gregg spat, walking out and slamming the door.
Gregg's P.O.V.
A sister!? What the hell! How can mum stay with him after he cheated!? How many times has he done that and she's forgave him? But a sister! How am I supposed to get to know her, when I barley even knew she existed?
I pulled into my driveway, and hopped out. When I opened the door, I saw my wife Denise, and son Theo sitting on the couch watching some kids cartoons.
"Hey babe" I smiled sitting down on the couch, and wrapping my arm around my family.
"Hey honey. How's Niall?" She asked smiling
"Good. There's something I need to talk to you about," I said
"Alright what is it?" She asked
"I have a sister. My dad cheated on my mum, and had a kid. Can you believe him? And my mum is still with him even after she found out!" I said my voice getting louder and louder
"Greg, calm down alright? Look, obviously your mum has forgiven him. She forgave him because she loves him. From what Niall told me about Leigh is that without your family, she wouldn't have a proper home." She reasoned
"Wait you knew!?" I barked standing up
"N-no! I mean yes, I did. Niall called a few times wanting to tell you, but ended up not because he couldn't. It was to hard to tell you over the phone" she said defending herself, and Niall.
"So you all knew? Mum knew. Dad knew. Niall knew. You knew! Heck even Liam, Zayn, Harry and Louis probably know!" I shouted
"Greg, lower your voice, Theo will wake up!" She cried
"I'm going out." I muttered leaving the house.
Where I was going, I don't even know.
