"Have you ever used a camera before?" Vern asked without looking up at me. My gaze didn't meet him either. I was too focused to getting the camera on and turned on to the right mode. It was quite difficult to not look like a total pro, which I happened to be. But a self-taught one.

"Yes I have. Didn't Bernadette tell you about my skills?" Time to brag a bit.
"Nah... She doesn't exactly like me" He mumbled out and put on a different lens and microphone. I had absolutely 'no idea' of what he was doing, so I turned on my heel and took my camera bag. When it was on my shoulder, I hid the camera and put the charger next to it, but mostly to hide a mini microphone.
"Wait. Is that your camera?" My answer came out as a nod.

Day one was fine. I didn't get a chance to talk so much with April, because I was constantly with her partner who was filming her and sending it out on live TV. My job was to pictures of the scene, whatever the news were about. Thank god nobody asked me if they could see some of my previous pictures. I would've have gone to jail right away for stalking. I didn't really have time to transfer my newest pictures of April and her friends on to my computer or buy a new camera. I reminded myself to buy a new one this evening. And this time with a wider lens so I won't have to worry about getting blurry shots if I zoom in on something small.

The lab was for once empty. I happily skipped in to the large room filled with classified equipment and files, and got to work. It was time to see the results from yesterday's success. Time to expose April's secret friends, or hobby. But she didn't seem to be the type to plant flowers, I didn't think she could even take care of her shoes properly after seeing all of the scratches on them.

To my disappointment, the dirt I scratched off her nail wasn't from some secret lair in the sewers. It seemed to be simple dirt that she could've gotten from biking or falling. It was rather annoying that the process was so slow. Sacks's constant offering to help me wasn't helping one bit either. I only felt more stressed out, because Sacks is nearly a copy of  Karai and Shredder. And if they he impatient, then Karai is as well. But my constant cry for peace and time seemed effective. Eric let me be after I lost my temper and threw a fist at his nose and broke it. He blamed the stairs.
I giggled at the memory and moved a string of my silver hair out my face when I mixed two other chemicals together for a clearer result of the dirt.

"Hey" I noticed Karai mumble and knock on the door frame. My head instantly turned and examined her. Her face had a few scratches after today's patrol. I furrowed my brows.

"Hey. What's happened to you?" My hands dropped the small bottles on to the table.
"Oh nothing. Just a fight with a few friends" Karai bragged and held up a small bottle of blood. My excitement pushed through the mask I kept on in some situations, and he handed it to me before crossing her arms.
"Who's?"
She smiled wider and checked her nails through the fabric that kept her hands safe.
"Michelangelo's. He wasn't paying attention and was completely oblivious of my presence. So I knocked him down." Karai explained. My exited face turned in to an impressed one.
"And the others?"
"They didn't notice a thing. The leader was too busy with two of my soldiers"
"Hmm... He doesn't sound like a good leader if he doesn't keep a small eye on his team" I commented and put a few drops of blood on to a small glass before scanning it in one of the machines I owned.

"I heard you got a job at the TV station" Karai shifted her weight to her right leg and put her hands in her pockets. I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah. But it's only temporary." A further explanation wasn't required, the tall female understood my plan right away. Only a few seconds had to pass before my concentrated expression turned in to a sour frown.
"What's up?" Karai's eyebrows furrowed and I have out a discussed sound.
"What's up with his diet? There's so much sugar and other random things here. Are you sure this is blood?" I gave her a confused look.
"Well....I took it from a cut so yes"

A few more irritated sounds made their way out of my mouth as time passed by. Karai held in a laugh and went away.
Well thank you for leaving me with this red energy drink
