Chapter 2

Kagome:

I felt myself making head way in the back void i was confined in. I fought the darkness that had engulfed me. After what seemed like forever i could finally reach what i wanted the sliver of light at the end of the tunnel. However reaching that came with a huge cost. The numbness melted and the fused into pain and agony. It was overwhelming. I dimly felt the tears leaking down my face. Even so i still fought. Something told me to keep fighting. 

 I was barely able to open my eyes. When i did i found myself staring weakly at a stone wall. Even this was a challenge. A head came into view, Kogas.

He stared at me in relief. When he seemed to snap out of it, he replied , "Kagome." . He gently cupped my face, his hand surprisingly warm and comforting.A female  took the opportunity to come closer, just enough so that i could see her. She bent down to me. He pressed her elderly hand to my aching head. I watched her hesitantly not knowing what was going on. I looked to my only ally at the moment.

"It's ok " he reasured me. I took a second look at the female demon. She wore furs like the rest of Kogas tribe. However she was older than the others i had seen on my previous capture. Her grey hair highlighted her green leaved eyes. They were filled with wisdom. "How do you feel?" she asked me. I tried to weakly respond but my throat hurt to much. Seeing that I couldn't she turned and left. However before my worry could become too great she came back with a sweet smelling concoction. She addressed Koga, " this should help her. Life her head. " I was so focused on the fact that Koga was actually taking orders from someone that I didn't taste the mixture at first. As soon as i registered the taste I couldn't stand it. I couldnt help but make a face as it went through my throat. Not only was it untastefull but it burned my throat.  I thrashed my head in Kogas hand, coughing. "Kagome you need to take it." Koga told me, holding my head tighter but still gently. Through the whole procedure Koga spoke to me, reassuring my with kind words. "You're gonna be fine love. It's alright Kagome. Your safe. "

"Their all done." the cup containing that awful mixture was finally taken away. I knew that some medicine tasted bad. But this was beyond ridiculous. Koga lowered my head to the fur pillow. The furs were surprisingly soft considering what they were. " She needs to rest." The female told Koga. "I'm not stupid."

She rises from her position. I watched her leave the den i laid in and go into a smaller one. Koga stayed at my side. " Kagome?" Koga asked. I meet his gaze. "What happened?" i tried to ask but i didn't come out. Koga on the other hand seemed to know what i had been trying to ask. "We found you dying in the field Kagura was over you about to diliver your deaths blow. Damn it." Koga pushed his hair aside barley able to get the words out. He looked so stressed out. I tried to reach him with a reassuring hand. But i was too weak. I was tiredly frustrated. Unable to ask if he was ok I settled with the only method I had, looking him over. 

Koga chuckled, " You lay here sick just off of deaths bed and you're worried about me", he pressed him lips to my lips in a brief kiss. It was my first kiss. I had always imagined Inuyasha would be my first but i wasn't too bothered by this. That mere thought surprised me. I couldnt believe my self when that thoat filtered through my head.

 He didn't move his head away from me clearly in no rush. "Koga! Sister!" Koga jumped up with a snarl and twisted to face the new threat. I tried to see who it was. But Koga jumped up with a growl blocking my gaze. "Shit Koga! We're sorry!"

Koga gave a warning growl. From the sound of it, it was Ginta and Hirouko. It was obvious though that he was still on guard though. It was shown in his posture.  I was right it was those two but when I saw Ginta and Hirouko they were on the ground cowering. However they poped up when they saw me. Two seconds later the two were whacked over the head by the healing female. "This cave is for healing not shouting."
