chapter 20- The words On You

Kagome: 

"You would react like that." Behind me Koga huffed, a clear indication that he was insulted. "I know you humans have weird sayings and all." I snicker remembering all the times I had to explain the words that left my mouths. Then again he wasn't the only the demon I had managed to confuse during my time here. "Ok ok, I think that's enough teasings."

"Why did the chicken cross the road?" he didn't seem happy with me ignoring his orders but then again he should know by now that I didn't ever listen. At least not to him. Not when it didn't count. "This is the last one."

"Your a party pooper today."

"My mind is else where."

"Yeah I can tell" I finished washing first me then the distracted demon. "Come, lets head back."

"Oh arn't you just the cutest little guy" I cooed to one of the new born youngsters under the care of the baby sitters. Giving the new parents a much needed break from their 3 week old daughter. "I don't think she'll ever going to  give him back."

"Be quiet Ginta, you just don't know cute when you see it" he yucked at my baby voice. Tounge and face along for the ride. "Tell the big bad wolf, your just jelious I'm cuter than you."

"He is not cuter that me. Koga, hey Koga. Do something with Kagome. She's acting weird."

"Not only that but your being replaced" I had to get in on the action. Not that the distracted alpha at the top of the water works was paying attention. Anything to get a little attention from the off in his own planet wolf. He's been like that ever since I had returned. It was off setting. "I don't think I would go that far" the lesser dominant wolf advised from his seat near bye, lunging in the spring sun near the no longer frozen water works. 

"Its called the female wanting a pup syndrome" Myrio informs the two of us from her also sunning spot. "I think your over thinking things."

"I think your under thinking things" I retorted. "A female wanting a pup sydrome?" Kogas, Gintas and Hiroukos attention were all on me now, the first having come down from his pouting thrown. "Mind your own P N Qs" thats where I was content to leave the matter and thats were the matter was going to be settled or atleast contuined when I wasn't around to be picked on. "There silly huh, Mika?" the little girl only blinked at me, a little to young to react any differently, "lets leave them to their adult conversation. You and I are going for something much more attention grabbing, say a nappy change."

"Kagome you come back here" Myro could be heard calling after my fading back. "Can't hear you." I would get hell for it later but it felt good to tease and be mischievous. "I maybe an adult but wheres the fun if you can't mess with them huh?" Another blink before I found my way to one of the other sitters, just in time too as my charge finally decided to cry. "Here all better" a new nappy, rasberries to the chuncky tummy and the little dear was all smiles and giggles again. I set my charge near the other napping youngsters, the group made up of all ages, many of which were either sleeping on on their way to dream land. "Who'll stand watch?"

"I can alpha" Laural and her sister Draga sing songed. "You two are too young to be left to your own devices" Arrow an older, experienced mother inferred, speaking the thoughts running through my own head about the 13 year olds supervising. "Let us prove our selfs" the first twin asked, "oh and what of the pups if you become distracted?"

"We won't" well watch them like a hawk. Two young pair of eyes turned to my direction seeking direction and approval but in this case I saw this choice was not mine on its own. "Speak to the parents and get their approval."
